Was the model that Choice tested the same model (this model does not have steam burst)?
The model Choice tested was Black & Decker Steam-mop Deluxe FSM1630-XE
so we don't know how this one rates in comparison.
This was on sale a couple weeks ago for $99 but unfortunately missed out so I'm glad I did as this deal is cheaper!
I'd like to see a deal on the steam mop that kills the 0.1% germ that these others just can't seem to kill.
I found the microfiber pads to be completely useless after 1 minutes use (half a room), so I threw them away and replaced with real super absorbent microfiber pads that I got from bunnings. Now I can do around 200m2+ without leaving the floor wet. Water tank is tiny… and need to refill constantly. For $89 is a good deal.

I bought a piranha brand from BigW a few weeks back for $19. Does the same job.

They are upto models 17xx and 18xx. We're still stuck at 16xx. Joys of Australia
Thanks OP, bought one and tried it. Does a good job for the couple of rooms I need it for. I agree with others that this is probably a clearance model, but that doesn't make it bad.

Good points:
• Very good cleaning performance on hard floor.
• Can be re-filled on-the-go without having to let it cool down.
• Steam-on lock switch.
• Very easy to fill up the water tank.
• It's easy to move the mop head on the floor.
• Steam burst releases extra steam at the front of the mop to help remove difficult stains.
Bad points:
• Only OK at removing stains.
• Fiddly to remove residual water from tank.
