When accessing certain websites or service sites, do you prefer use their Apps or simply open the sites on browser? Such as Internet Banking, Social Network, etc.
What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Personally I prefer browsers.
One thing that many apps don't do well (and some mobile sites failed as well) is URL handling. If I am in the app and am looking at a particular screen (reading an article for example), it's hard for me to get the URL of that screen so I can share with others (via any mean that can transmit a string of text). Vice versa when I receive an URL and click on it to open up an app, it doesn't always bring me to the same page or screen the sender sees.
Obviously for apps they feel more integrated, can run in the background to provide notification, etc.
For Ozbargain, I found bookmark on website faster than the app.
For news and social networking, app seems better. Banking is good in app as it should be secured by the bank (not 100% sure).
