reading some review in http://www.productreview.com.au/p/dyson-air-multiplier.html?…
makes you think 199 times if this fan worth buying?
What's wrong with a normal fan?
Does it have a fan death prevention knob? if not I'm not interested.
Good price, my roommate has the same one (bought last year for ~$350) and whilst I appreciated an even spread of air + adjustable speed it can get a tad noisy especially if you raise it to the highest setting
This fan model is 4 years old now though so there's room for improvement. Plus realistically it should cost this much to begin with considering how limited it is with no remote
But its a Dyson…!
A Dyson that barely outclasses a $10 Bunnings fan :P Definitely doesn't make you feel any cooler which makes it a hard sell for paying up to 40x more
wow 4 yrs old model.. considering this is still the current model available they don't seem to change the products too regularly :/
Guess not much changes have been done with this over the years,
They've improved the other models like the tower heater/fan one but the desk sized one should be getting close to discontinued. By improvements I mean better multiplying technology, not sure about noise
No wonder we're seeing discounts on the Air multiplier models.

Thought so! And up to 75% quieter!
The AM01 model is still a good starting point before you blow $400 on one as opposed to $200 + $100 coupon
I'll stick to the $12 fans at Bunnings thanks…
i remember choice did a review and they came to a conclusion that a conventional pedestal fan was much cheaper and did just as good a job
The only real advantage of this is for parents of young kids that like to stick their fingers into things. There's no worry with this one at all. Still pretty steep though, even at this price - just depends how much you're willing to fork out for peace of mind.
Always liked the look but couldn't justify the cost premium. Would have been more tempting if the heating models were included too.
So we buy this and get $99 back as a voucher? correct?
