Yes, It's from Aldi, but Specs seem good and as the winter weather hits, this might be a good solution. Also comes with Stainless Steel drum and a 3 Year in home warranty which is better than most retailers.

Specs from page:

Crease guard
Reverse tumble drying action
Auto sensor to control temperature
Lint filter
Auto power off
Child lock
Wall mountable
Dimensions: 840mm (H) x 595mm (W) x 545mm (D)

  • Best to include 6kg capacity into description

  • I might get one. Any reviews pls?

      • This one or the simpson from TGG ? Which one should I get?

        • Not sure but there's some video reviews of that Simpson dryer on youtube. Maybe have a look?. The Simpson dryer should be more reliable than the one from Aldi.

        • Thanks Hollykryten :-)

        • This Aldi one has an auto sensor, not sure how good it is though, but sensor drying is a great feature to have - it'll stop running once the clothes are dry (unlike the Simpson where you manually control how long you run it for). The Aldi also have reverse tumble. It's bigger and cheaper as well. Big ticks from me in terms of features.
No idea about quality though, but seems like a very good price. Low end dryers (even the no-brand ones) with minimal features are around $200, so this seems quite cheap.

        • I suppose and i see that the Stirling clothes dryer from Aldi comes with a 3 year warranty. That is a plus.

Just remember to bring your ute or truck as this will be big and heavy 37kg. I don't think Aldi does home delivery?.

        • OP: Stirling , not Sterling :S

          Simpson: 3.4 http://www.productreview.com.au/p/simpson-39p400m.html

          Stirling 3.3 http://www.productreview.com.au/p/stirling-aldi-6kg.html

I'd say they're both pretty generic chinese machines that will have shortcomings in one way or another. I'd rather pay lessfor more features, larger capacity, better efficiency rating (just) and a longer warranty?

        • I personally just paid $288 for a 4kg Simpson from Hardly Normal - 24 hrs later I spotted this. I was going to gauge how angry I was to miss out on this based on the number of + my deal got.

        • I bought one of these last sale and am not a fan of the supposed auto sensor. Even when the washing is almost dry from the line and I finish it in the dryer, it seems to run for a full cycle. It works well asides from that. A decent dryer, but next time I will buy one with a timer.

        • The Simpson 4KG dryer has a timer.

        • rawm don't feel bad at least you bought a dryer with a timer instead of a dodgy auto sensor that doesn't work right.

Is the price reduced? It looks like their normal price…

  • We have an older one of these. It sits out in my Shed, being used as a shelf.
Found sensor drying very unreliable, and dryer susceptible to lint blockages if not really well vented.
We now use a Simpson, and have for several years …much more reliable.
So that would be a NAY!

    • Well then maybe suggested that Jar Jar Binks goes for the Simpson 4kg dryer instead if they're more reliable.

    • This is a new model or design right?
So probably different. May even be a different manufacturer branded up as Sterling.
