Saw this at the Kenmore (QLD) Woolworths. Maybe it's available at every Woolies?
Festiva AC powered spit roaster, normally $60, down to $36.

If the AC is out of gas you can probably cook it with the air circulation.
OP, you may want to give your camera lens a wipe!
Yeah, that extreme soft lens/setting is only meant for glamour portraits :-)
I tried a few times, the lighting was doing real odd things to my images!
How many KG is the motor rated for?
Yeah, it looks tiny from what I can see. Sure is cheap though.
Edit: it says 10kg on the pictured packaging but I can't make out the details what for.
Edit edit: Yep 10kg looks like this one.
I was actually involved in a spit roast last night. I'd better not share the details though.
what was your part?
Info from previous deal.
Oh man, some of the comments on there are hilarious.
Yeah [grin]. You might want to add "mini" in the title this time, thanks.

all stores are clearing bbq stock as per https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/147131#comment-2030818 :)
bought one earlier this year (for $60)- impressed by the quality - roasted some chooks and a lamb shoulder - delicious. next will be the infamous "pig on a spit"
It'd have to be a small piglet, I'm trying to figure out the weight/length ratio of small pigs to determine what would fit on it. If anyone knows, please confirm and save me the effort.
Edit: according to this link and converting to metric, 4.5-10.9 kg pigs are 58.4-76.2 cm long so you would struggle to fit anything but the smallest piglet whole without needing to cut it or something.
Lucky I drive a Ford Festiva to power this thing
EDIT: the AC unit is out of gas (been leaking for ages) so may not work
