Looking for Prepaid Mobile around $30/Month that's not ALDImobile

I'm currently on Aldimobile, because when I first got it it was 5GB and unlimited calls for $35, which then dropped to 2.5GB …and then to 1GB with a tiny call allowance. Their ios app has never worked to check data.

I'm looking to pay around $30 a month for a service that works, that is reliable and won't rip me off down the line - what are some good current offerings?

  • i have moved to virgin mobile (optus network) 28 days expiry

has 4g $29 unlimited virgin to virgin calls and txt
1 gig of data $450 credit (you get a rise of $50 each recharge until you reach $600)
but the best part about the plan is it all rolls over if you recharge within 28days

When i got it i actually added a second recharge a day after i activated so now i have plenty of credit and data
left at the end of the month and just top up again an roll it over.

Also they have a app that works well to check credit and expiry.

  • Lyca mobile - $30 for unlimited calls (excludes six digit 13 and 1800) and sms. Comes with 2gb. Think it excludes mms too. It is on the telstra wholesale network like Aldi

Lebara mobile - $30 for unlimited calls and sms. Excludes mms. Comes with 2gb. It is on the Vodafone network.

  • Checked the Virgin mobile website cant find where it says 2gb data or can use 4g network…

    • virgin is 1gb Data and as for the 4g it says it in the coverage when you order a sim you need to specify if you require 4g or not but there is no extra cost.

  • I've moved to the TeleChoice Kogan $28/m plan with $650 calls (but $$$ call rates) and 2 gb of data.

Most importantly it uses the Telstra 3G network.

Lyca seems ok too, but I can't be bothered with the pre-paid thing every 30 days.

Boost was pretty good, but it was rediculous you can't set up automatic recharge (like Aldi).

    • Hows data usage reporting with telechoice? Is it pretty much inline with what your phone records?
