This is the faster M550 series of SSD, not to be confused with M500.

Staticice shows the best price in Australia at $599 from CPL, so a neat saving of $57 or 10%).

Note: To avoid Amazon's 3% markup on the conversion rate, use 28 Degrees card or similar.

    Good news!

Yep, and I may actually bite the bullet and get this one.

Good thing is if the price drops further, Amazon refund the difference within a certain period.

for those without a 28degrees card may pay around $15 international transaction fee on their visa card for this expensive purchase. worth looking into getting the 28degrees card.

    • Thanks logical. I already stated that in the post.

I am not talking about the 3% amazon mark up. I am referring to the additional fee placed on my visa card by my bank.

Thanks again logical. I'd like to think people that purchase from Amazon, or indeed any overseas store is already aware of this, but great reminder all the same.

  • hmm although a good price, 57 dollars for an ssd is starting to get to the point for such a expensive item id just get in australia due to the warantee…

Meh pretty expensive, the Samsung 1tb 840 Evo is cheaper at 451.99USD + shipping

    • Copie, fyi, the 840 EVO is comparable to the M500. This is the M550 here. Noticeably faster.

Gotta keep the average postive post count high. I also find it odd that they can get away with reposting SSD amazon deals constantly and yet anyone else that does it gets their posts removed. Clearly some members are protected species.

I take offence to this copie. I'll repost anything that's cheaper than a previous deal. That's what this site is about, right? After all, isn't that what you've just done with the SSD? Something wrong with that? You don't want people to know when things cost less?

Not hard to see, anything without a sufficient amount of votes you have deleted, if that isnt average bumping i dont know what is.

I also find it interesting you have posted 2 samsung deals recently, and both use the exact same website link.

        • Not sure who gave me powers to delete any posts. And as I've said, I'll post the same link 50 times if the price keeps reducing. Tastes of sour grapes around here.

Anyway, not stooping to your level. That's the last comment I make on this. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Keep up the great work.

    • Double standard at its best

      How is this double standard?

When did I say you shouldn't buy from CPL for $599? You have an option, correct?

People are smart enough to know if they should take the cheaper option, or the local more expensive option.

In no way did I discriminate vegimate - hey, that rhymes.

  • Go to Canberra you are waisting your talents here with us mortals…

You will have to change your name there or you will not be tight anymore
