  • Does any one have more info on the make and type of the SD card.

The camera as such is not the cheapest around, however with a reasonal sd card may cut it for me..

OK price, not really bargain as camera can be found for around $230 and a non-brand 16GB SD card around $40-50

zider, please observe the deal posting guidelines and "include a short summary", such as why you consider it a good bargain. There is no need to copy masses of specifications available from the link.

HueyData…I have read the guideline now…Thanks for that…But is it not the purpose of this site that “supposed bargains” are evaluated and then voted to the front page?

If the deal is $275.95 delivered and they mention on the COTD Website, that the RRP $329, would I not assume its a deal…It seems that these sites, claiming to be bargain sites offer misleading information…When deals are evaluated using Static Ice or ShopBotm, they are not found to be real bargains most of the time…

It is good that OzBargain exists, so that their marketing ploys are revealed to everyone…:)

      • zider, I'm not sure what point you are trying to make, but perhaps you might find the About OzBargain page useful:

Our goal is simple — bringing the best deals and bargains in Australia to consumers […] Instead of finding all the great bargains ourselves, you, one of the best bargain hunters in the land of Down Under, can bring in your hottest findings and share with the rest of us.

(Down Under or India, as the case may be.) In any event, your description should convey why you consider this particular item at this particular price a good deal.

OzBargain is not about revealing "marketing ploys", although that may also occur. It is about "bringing the best deals and bargains in Australia to consumers" as stated above.

If you yourself don't consider it a good deal, or if it is somehow "misleading" you, then there is no reason to submit it.

        • Point's noted…Thanks….I will be back in Sydney on Monday!!! If I had known about Ozbargain earlier I would have saved so much…Now I keep my Wallet Zipped…Cheers!

  • Doesn't really seem that good.

You can get the camera from shoppingsquare for $240 and a 16GB SDHC card for ~$45-$50.

A bit of a discount, but not great. The "bonus" 16GB card was clearly factored into the price and not a true bonus.

  • My auntie got this camera for $240 about 6 months ago. Sorry, not a bargain.
But it is really great camera.

    • The cost price has gone up since then, was about 215 then, and about 240 now, at least going by my POS at work. one of the best cameras you can get in this price range still tho.

  • Not a good bargain. I got my sister this camera a few months back for $195 including a carry case and 4gb SD card after a price match at HN.
