Sounds like an April Fool's joke…

I've had one for a year or so too. Gives me the extra motivation to go for a walk at lunch most days, or walk to the shops instead of driving.

  • I have been using one for almost a year as well….knowing how far off you are from your target helps

  • I accidentally put mine through the wash last week (attached to a piece of clothing)
    Won't turn on now =[

Yep, the wife did the same thing hence this deal. :(

I read on ozbargain somewhere before that they also put theirs through the wash and it died. They emailed fitbit and fitbit sent them a new one!

I also put mine through the wash a while back, and i had nothing to lose so i emailed them… and they sent me a new one too!

So you might wanna shoot them an email first :)

        • Great advice! I just had a Google and it seems this is a common practice. Will try that out and see what they say.

        • I emailed them when I lost mine (as per their website instructions) and they asked for a proof of purchase (which I supplied) and they sent me a replacement. If anything happens again I will but another one though. I think they have gone above and beyond with this replacement offer

        • I emailed them and they said since my Fitbit is out of warranty (1.5 years old) they would not replace it. Oh well, just reordered with Amazon.

      • Oddly mine has been through the wash at least twice and is still going strong. New model perhaps?
