does the old trick of adding a $3 wine still work? to beer orders ect
I tried ordering $300 + worth of wine recently with a few cases of beer yet they still charged for delivery for the beer. Unless there is another way around it I believe they have stopped that trick, happy be to proven wrong!
update. Was able to order the beer and wine together for free delivery! Thanks!

Managed to convince the staff at Thomastown to give me the same price in store, cracked one open tonight, and gotta say this is the best $10 wine I've ever had. Thanks Mathiex fit the tip.

Big fail to Dan Murphy's website guys on this - or a deliberate attempt at grifting.
Kept saying "discount code will be applied at checkout", right up until the Paypal confirmation that showed they billed me an extra ten-spot for delivery.
Not on their phuqqing best day do they get that extra tenner: they're literally less than a km away, and they crowed that delivery was 'on the house'. So I cancelled the order.
That sort of chicanery is becoming more and more common: it's straight out of the playbook of American multinationals, and it needs to be stomped out of existence.

correct me if I am wrong but standard metro delivery is $7. If you are being charged $10 you are not in a metro location or specifying a different type of shipping that what is being offered for free. no conspiracy theories.

He chose "Next Day" delivery which is $10. This is free "standard" delivery, not next day delivery. He tried to get next day delivery for free. It clearly states "standard" delivery.
If it's "literally less than a km away", why don't you "literally" just up off your phuqqing backside and walk down the road?

Thanks OP, ordered 4 cases of beer (No wine). Code worked fine, saved $28 delivery.
When I had just beer it did not work .. When I added some wine it worked.
