  Worth it just for the data (normally 1GB is $40).

  In an SA BigW store, they point to a sign saying this USB-only dongle was $49, before this markdown.

  Meanwhile, Aust.Post's catalogue offers a similar looking dongle which includes both USB & WiFi interfaces, not to mention 2 GB of data… for $29.

  I know which i'd consider, ie, if I were wanting Telstra Next G (3G), which I do not.

  The sale has already started! Pop'd my head in to Bigw Taylors Lakes to noticed the signs were up already. Grabbed the Vodafone pocket wifi extreme with 3gb for $29.50! Still had a couple left in stock.
  Spoke to the checkout hen and she said with reference to the time being late arvo "the day before the sales they go in the system". So it's definitely good to know for next time ;)

  Anyone notice big W asking for ID when buying this? or was it just me?

  I do understand they can, and they are meant to, but thats what the activation is used for. and I don't like the idea of filling out a sheet of paper with all my details.

    I also dont trust them, with my personal details. if it was into a system, maybe but I was handed a sheet of paper to fill out.
