which Extra $199 and get a Samsung 2333SW 23" LCD Monitor
HP is a rip off, would prefer a local pc, won't vote neg as its a decent price for exact same part, but anyone who is thinking of buying should consider a white box. (eg get it from your Local PC store)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8GHz,3MB L2 Cache 1066MHz FSB, EM64T - 155
Windows Vista Home Premium installed - 130
2048 MB DDR-2 SD-RAM, PC2-6400, 800MHz - 35
HP Low Profile Multomedia Cordless keyboard (2.4GHz) - 20
HP Cordless Mouse - 20
320 gig HDD 61 (this drive is way too small and below the sweet spot, you can spend the extra 40 and get a 1TB drive.)
DVD writter 50
case 50
wireless card 20
build 70 (if you cant do it yourself)
mainboard 70
total 681
so thats over 200 bux difference, if i left anything else out im sure it could be covered by the 200 bux.
edit: forgot the power supply so add another 50.
the fact still remains by spending an extra 150 (or 899) you could get a way better computer and hit a few more of the sweet spots.
good price for the box as to what other people are selling it for, but bad price for a PC.
