200 coins per app. I have no idea whether any of the 5 apps is any good, but the 1000 points can be put to good use. Equivalent to US$10.

Edit: to get or spend coins your device needs to be linked to Amazon US. You can do that in two steps:
1) In "Your Account" under "Address Book" add any US address (hotel, fictional).
2) Also in "Your Account" under under "Digital Management" go to "Manage Your Content and Devices" - from there you find "Country Settings" on the left, pick the US address

      Use your web browser to buy it.. you cant play it but you will get the bonus coins..

    Just a word of caution, before trying to use the Amazon coins, you might want to remove the credit cards hooked up to one click purchase. I had accidentally used physical $ to buy the GTA app that my phone can't rally run. I had a nice little panic looking for the cancel order button (there is no cancel button for apps). Ended up having to contacting customer support to get it fixed…

      Was this through the website? If so, you shouldn't be using the 1-click button. There should actually be an option for you to choose to use coins, which turns the 1-click button into a "Spend Amazon coins" button.

    Great bargain, but I am getting sick of Amazon hoop jumping, just wasted 20 minutes trying to understand the coins, then find the coin balance, but found that I bought the apps under AU location, even though I never changed my account from US to AU. Amazon was nice and easy before they added the AU store.

    But much thanks to the poster, it is a great bargain.

      Ended up talking to Amazon support.. It was because my 1click address was set to Australia. Had to delete and rebuy the apps. This time the coins showed up.

    I got my thousand coins, but it will not let me buy GTA-SA with coins, only credit card.
    Have they just caught on and blocked it?

    This is great but I seem to be in an endless loop!

    Went through all of this & got the 2301 coins at the end, then bought Plex with some coins (missed the bonus) and then I got the bonus $1 to spend in the MP3 store, cool.

    I just spent some of that dollar on a 69c track and lo and behold I got another bonus promo $3 credit for the Amazon Android store!

        It doesn't specifically say you have to spend 69c that's just what I did. The link above explains everything about the promotion.

          My correction. $3 credit did come through according to an email I got (Just took a while to be sent in my case) but it looks like I it didn't get added to my total of $5 from the other deal. Might be a limit. Thanks anyway!
