Again is this a bargain mate? Do you know what you are posting?

The Chardy is the Patrick "Estate" Chardonnay 2011.

The Zin is the Churchview St John Zinfandel 2012.

    Vinomofo Secret Deals Revealed

This zin is listed as an 8 pack… and previous vintage was rated 92. this one was not presented.

im continuously researching and editing my post. Also as per ozbargain rules, you cant post external link with your referral link in comments. Please stick to the rules and keep it inhouse.

      • Will you refund the price of purchase if your 'research' is incorrect and we don't receive the 'bargain' you led us to believe it may have been.
It's hard to assess value when one doesn't really know what the wine is!

external links are allowed in comments, direct referral ones aren't

It's like you sit there waiting every morning for their email and bang, within seconds you have the listing up. Ha ha!

Matthiex is even more impressive, 11.03am on his blog. The email only comes out at 11am! Fastest fingers wins the prize!

These are his Vinomofo deals posted in LESS THAN A WEEK, which none of them are popular:

Bit cheeky of Vinomofo to quote James Halliday scores from previous vintages. A bad sign and hopefully not something they'll continue. No deal on these for me, so no up vote (and I'll spare you the down vote for being incorrect on some of your facts 8-]).

I like these vinomofo deal posts, it saves me having to research, if there not for you, just skip them….
(not necessarily this post if it has incorrect info, but just them being posted generally is helpful for me)

  • While the wines from this deal don't grab my attention, the post was a timely reminder to use up the credits I had left.

Thanks to mathiex for his link! Amongst others it shows that the Schild Shiraz is back (or still) to be had for $72/dozen. No idea what the 'FB only' is meant to mean, but my order went through. Only downside: no free shipping this time.

I've got some of the 2011 Schild Estate Shiraz - it's great if you like plenty of up front fruit. The expression fruit bomb certainly applies. It settles a bit the second day after opening. For the price it's a pretty good quaffer.

I bought this in 30 march deal (approx).I'm a merlot drinker and usually avoid shiraz due to its dryness. I found the Schild shiraz almost merlot in character. extremely easy to drink. subtle shiraz.

I'll buy it again but am trying to cut down on the booze (great effort tonight at JD thai restaurant - 3 glass of NZ pinot gris)

      • I would recommend decanting and letting it breath for an hour or two, it was nicer than fresh out of the bottle. It's definitely not as full of tannin as a lot of Shiraz are, but is still quite fruity. 2011 wasn't the best year, however it is still pretty good for the price!

I'm keen to see how this one holds up with a bit of age.

  • oh, and that Zin is running in at 16% ABV, quite the punch.

I don't think it's very community spirited of easternculture to hog all these posts which, after all, often come with a monetary reward. Other Ozbargainers might like to have a crack as well, and they may have more insider info to contribute. Perhaps the mods should set an upper limit of so many posts/week, after which the referrals become random only. Also, if links to mathieux blog with its referral links are against the rules, they should be removed. Aside from that, I don't have a problem with the posts generally, some prefer their spam served up on Ozbargain, rather than their inbox.

Im not forcing anyone to use my link. Its up to the buyer on their own free will to decide which link to click. They have a choice of clicking my link, or alternatively clicking any random link provided.

      • You're not forcing anyone to use your link, although you often invite it. But you are shutting the opportunity of posting a deal off from other Ozbargainers you may like to do so. Bit greedy if you ask me.

At least i make an effort of posting deals on ozbargain. Unlike you, last deal that was non vinomofo related was ~ 2 months ago.
