One of the better games in the last few years. Excited to see it ported over to the PS4. But at $98 local price, that's ridiculous for an old game.

Use code 10OFFPO at zavvi.com to get it delivered to your door for approximately $65 AUD. Waiting time is about 7-10 business days from my experience.

Not sure when it ends.

    Cheaper at disk smith
Also multiplayer maybe censored like the pal ps3 edition

Shouldn't be censored if 18+ version

    • That's stupid. No beheading people online. Will wait for $30 bargain bin to play this again.

Yeah, it's $65 at Dick Smith if you put $10 for pre-order. For a local copy, that's awesome - and you don't have to wait for delivery if you pick it up.

  • Are the graphics improved over the PS3 version ?

    • I've seen some screenshots and it looks better but I wanna see a review first to see how much better

      • Did you play the original? I did not play the original and do not care how much better the graphics are as long as it's 'remastered' :)

        • +1

Original was beautiful, from what I've seen of this it puts it to shame. Devs consider the difference to be akin to that of DVD to BRD.

        • +2

          Yep. Loved the original.
          Best console game hands down..

The graphics were already awesome so if this is better then I'll get it.

    • The Last of Us Remastered will have improved visuals, 60 frames a second, native 1080p display, in-cinematic director commentary and downloadable content for both single-player and multiplayer.

      Source

As Twisty says, I to will wait for reviews.

    • Yes they are improved, but they haven't really shown us yet, only spoke about it.
The character models, the lighting, and the environmental textures are improved from source assets. Though they didn't want to change the game at all (in fear of damaging it) so it's ment to look like the original and it doesn't have anything added. it just runs a bit better.

  • Yeah I think this will be the release price for HD remakes if Tombraider was any kind of benchmark.

One of the best games I've ever played.

  • Some info on the PS4 version:

Great game, one of the best game I played in recent years! BUT
i do not think it would have much improvement on the level of textures in the PS4 version which is key to the game, the reason Tomb Raider ended up having a better looking PS4XB1 version was because there are ready made PC level textures in place therefore they can be quickly used on the 5GB ram systems (atleast 3G used for OS on both system) that effectively has 10X more ram than X360 and PS3.

There will be effects improvements like shadows and other small bits which the game engine can perform to improve graphics. But the key texture detail quality side, using HD textures will equal making a completely new game, hence not possible for PS4 version to look prettier, and more detail, but it will look sharper, more fps etc.

I would wait another year for it to be come another FREE game on the PSN paid service than flocking 60 for it AGAIN!!!

    • Source?

    • LMAO.

    • You sound like you know what u r talking about, but do you really?

      • any one with a bit of computer games development background would know about PORTING will agree, the level of texture required for a true 1080P (not upscaled) game would take up a lot of reworking and space. Hence the latest gen games are said to be 30+ GB in size.

PS3 version already did its best in texture, hence the best they can do is remodel here and there but cant rework every wall texture to full HD quality.

THis game exist to put more games in the limited library. a big problem currently happening on all three current gen systems.

(PS. Fanboys will always be fanboys)

  • I can't wait. The only thing that I could fault with the PS3 version was the frame rate in some areas and I didn't care at the time because the story and gameplay blew me away! The times where it dropped noticeably, it was forgivable because it was clear they were pushing the hardware as far as possible with incredibly rich environments that often made me forget I was playing a game (almost everyone I made play it waited after the first cutscene because the didn't realise gameplay had begun) even just being able to play it at 60fps without graphical updates would justify its purchase for me, I only wish there were more games of this calibre. One of the best games I've played in my life, and the story put most Hollywood movies to shame.

    • I didn't notice any FR drop for PS3…

      • You were probably too distracred by how good the game is, but as an example: the first time you walk outside and see the post apocalyptic area with overgrown foilage (you have to get the ladder) frame rate drops, some of the larger open areas too, really nitpicking and its not like the game becomes unplayable by any means, I would just love to play it over at closer to 60fps, and 1080p is a bonus.

        • distracted*

        • lol, I will have to check it out again..

  • Best game I've ever played. Interested to see if the 'better graphics' will add anything to the game.
