KFC 12 Chicken Pieces (6 Crispy Strips and 6 Pieces Original Recipe Chiken) for $12 Tuesday Only

1470

Yes that's right, Hot Rods promotion is coming to an end on Monday 19/05/2014. And on the next day, KFC is doing the "12 Pieces for $12" promotion again which consist of 6 pieces of Crispy Strips and 6 pieces of Original Recipe Chicken). Possibly Nationwide? I'm not sure since my store is in NSW.

PS: I'm an employee in one of the store branch and heard this information from my store manager last night.

you had the chance to say "me $9.95". Now you've taken that away from everyone.

I like sex, but sometimes i have to settle for fried chicken.

  • +7

how about 12 pieces of chicken for $9.95.. sounds better..

    • +13

How about 12 pieces for $10? I don't like carrying spare change.

      • +4

Drop the 5c into the little donation box they have.

        • +1

or just use a card to pay

    • yeah I think earlier this year here in NSW we were doing 9 pieces of chicken for 9.95 too. but now they're doing this to end the Hot Rods promo.

      • -4

why not keep doing that? its popular mate.

        • +5

I had no idea since i'm just a normal employee, for promotion wise, it is all set by the head office, we are here just to make it happen. I totally agree that 9 pieces for $9.95 is an absolute bargain. They might bring it back anytime soon. Last year, my store did the 9 pieces for $9.95 promotion for 3 months. So there is a chance that my store is going to do it again.

    • +3

not a valid reason to neg the deal imho

    • Then you might as well cook it at home. It'll be cheaper

  • +32

It's still a bargain and worth the up-vote. 6 Crispy Strips at KFC are normally about $10, so no matter your preference in regards to chicken type, this is still a bargain for $12. The amount of negging on OzB recently just because personanlly they disagree with the contents of a bargain is ridiculous.

    • +2

Yes you are correct. I should not have negged for reasons stated.
      (Which has been corrected)

      From KFC menu:
      1 x Piece of Chicken $ 3.00 $ 3.00
      5 x Piece of Chicken $12.95 $12.95
      6 x Crispy Strips $10.00
(Couldn't see that on menu) $10.00

                         Total $25.95 vs $12.00 Plus 2 dips

    Crispy strips - delicious!

  • +4

eugh Crispy Strips…(I often find the meat is quite dry as well) tastes so plain compared to the 'original recipe'.

  • -6

Hmm, does the chicken fall into any of the categories below?:
    *organic
    *free-range
    *barn-free
    *cage-free

Were they pumped with hormones, antibiotics and GM chicken feed?

    • Who cares? There are free range organic chickenfeed chicken terribly cooked and tastes shit make me rather eat GM chickenfeed myself instead.

    • +2

No chicken we eat in Australia has added hormones.
But people keep stating it to force some kind of issue.

      • +1

^ THIS. Also, you should look into what farms can claim as free range because Australian regulations are so lax around it. I believe many of "free-range" chicken on the market have only been "outside" for few hours in their life.

In addition, despite the behavioural advantage of free range broilers/egglayers, some veterinarians argue that free range system actually results in worse animal welfare due to increased likelyhood of disease manifestation and potential parasite burden etc.

        • So eat our (Aussie) free range or not eat our free range? 0.o

  • Tues lunch sorted. Rep know when does the offer end?

    • +1

I think it will be until the end of June

  • +1

Why are Ozbargainers upvoting this do you like getting worse and worse deals over time?? You pay two dollars more and get 4 pieces less chicken and instead get 6 small flavourless strips. What a mother-truckn rip. That's right you pay more and receive less!!

    • Thanks for that! Now I can have a deal that expired 2 months ago next time I go KFC!

    • My bad 3 pieces less **

    • nobody on ozb likes deals that are lesser than previous deals but type this into google: "define inflation" = your mind blown!

      • inflation is around 2% per annum, you sound like a big company trying to justify a price hike.

  • +1

Crispy strips are awesome. Less bone and grey-matter, or at least processed into an edible form.

  • +2

Damn, the hot rods are pretty good.

  • Is this nationwide?

    • +1

Not sure, it is definitely NSW-wide. The only way to find out is to walk in to your local store :)

  • Live fat, die young.

    • +3

Just live stressed and you can still die skinny.

  • Can you get hot and spicy with this at any store?
i heard Campsie always has it?
