Went into TGG Chadstone, Vic and found a clearance bin full of Genuine iPad mini and iPad 2/3/4 smart covers and cases. Was going to post this as a single-store deal but I found nearly the same pricing online, so to make the deal applicable to more OzB'ers (and for price matching purposes), I'm posting what's available online.

HOWEVER… if you're near to the Chaddy store, they've got the following stock:
* iPad 2/3/4 smart cover - $33.75 - about 30 left in various colours
* iPad mini smart cover - $33.75 - about 30 left in various colours, some are on the racks, not just in the bin
* iPad 2/3/4 smart case - $45 - about 5 left
* no iPad mini smart cases on sale
* no iPad Air smart cases/covers on sale

Smart COVER is the magnetically mounted screen cover only. Does not protect the back of the iPad.
Smart CASE covers both sides, but is thicker and not so quick/easy to whip on and off.

Sure, it's not the cheapest it's ever been, but hope it helps someone. Happy hunting!

    Did Apple revised the iPad mini smart cover? They apepar to have two in the same colour like blue with different product codes. One on sale and one not. However, they use the wrong picture on the one on sale as they are showing iPad 2/3/4 cover instead.

      The sales guy I spoke to said that the sale pricing was to clear old stock. I assume that Apple may have updated their colour range, hence older colours may be on special.

      I'm not aware if the mini smart cover has been update though - hope not, cos I bought one for an iPad mini retina and will be quite annoyed if the cover only works with the 1st gen mini!

      With the iPad mini Smart Cover, Apple refreshed the colours ever so slightly with the blue, green, pink and red colours. They dropped the light grey, replaced the dark grey with black and added yellow. All compatible with the iPad mini with Retina display.

    Apple selling them for $50-$75 is ridiculous

    I got smart case (front/back) replicas from ebay that look the same work the same for less than $10….you dont have to wait for such "offers" to come round….and if you need to replace it after a year then no biggie - at least you can get a new colour as well…

    No bargain bin to be found in osborne park. and all their ipad mini cases scanned up as $48.
