If it's like anything else, just 'purchase' it for Free (as long as you have Xbox Live). Then presumably if/when you get an Xbox One it will be available for download.
If that is the question then yes, you can purchase it from the website for free and it will be linked to your account

I wonder if people with a Live account can purchase games on their browser without a console, like how I can queue downloads from xbox.com and have my X360 download automatically when I turn it on? Then when they get a console at the end of the year (xmas sales?) there'll be 6months worth of free games queued for download and not miss out on any!
I'm sure microsoft have thought of this and will stop people without a XBONE do this. Guess we'll find out early next month.
Yes sorry you do need an Xbox one for both those games even though halo Spartan ops is on 360 I don't believe that is offered

Apparently you do you do need to own a ONE unlike PS+ where you can cue the games before owning the console (PS3/PS4/VITA).
Well, at least you'll finally get good games. The argument for the shitty games they used to give was "you actually own them, rather than renting them".

Those who do not have GOLD won't be left behind. Apps like Netflix, Hulu, Twitch, Red Bull TV and HBO GO etc will be available to All Xbox Owners irrespective to you are GOLD subscriber or not. I assume Foxtel falls in the same category, because as of today you cannot run Foxtel app on Xbox if you are not GOLD.
I just bought an xbox and redeemed a 1 x free gold membership? Presumably I have to be paying to get the above? Can't work out where i can get the games from.
The 'free with Gold' games tend to come up on the homepage once you log in to Xbox Live… If not, try doing a search in the games tab. Until today the free game is Dust: An Elysian Tail and from tomorrow till the end of the month it'll be Saints Row The Third!

I just activated my 1mth free live gold on my 360…and realised that they don't have ssf4? Or am I missing something? Sorry this is the first time I'm doing this, not much of a gamer.
