CamScanner PDF Creator for Android 80% off $0.99 (Was $4.99)

301

THE $0.99 IS JUST AN INITIAL PURCHASE, YOU THEN NEED TO PAY A SUBSCRIPTION TO KEEP THE FULL FEATURES.

Folks,

This is a great little tool for those who don't have a scanner. You take photos of documents (or whatever) with your phone and it "scans" the subject. Works brilliantly - I had to use it for a recent job application and it was suggested to me by FirstAdvantage who do those checks.

$4.99 -> $0.99 (80% OFF) FOR LIMITED TIME!
This product is the Activation Code of CamScanner. Once purchased, you can upgrade CamScanner Free version to CamScanner Full version.

This is indeed a great app. I managed to finangle it for free a while back, but 99c is worth paying IMO.

Agree that this is a great app……but not so great is paying a monthly subscription!!

Do you have to pay a sub, or is that just for the collaboration features such as 10G of cloud space? If you have the paid version of the app with a basic account, you don't get ads or watermarks and can still upload to Evernote etc.

You dont have to pay for the subscription. Just buy it and use it as a scanner as designed. The subscription is for premium services like collaboration, cloud space and faxing.

Is a great app, but be aware that the developer has a rather funny idea about its pricing structure tho

    • Can you clarify? Thanks.

  • edit: withdrawn, think I figured it out!

  • Fantastic app. Recommended for people who want to do Whiteboard snaps along with a general replacement for scanner. Works really well.

  • So is this a one time 99c payment or a single 99c + 4.99 each other month?

  • +1

Was going to buy this app until I noted the monthly subscription fee to continue full features e.g. OCR. No deal :(

  • +11

Beware, monthly subscription needed to continue using full features.

    • It does seem rather misleading that they require a subscription on top of a paid-app payment for all features.

Sure, many are still available without a subscription, but it's not really the "full version" in my books.

    • That's so dodgy.

      • +1

Wow, thanks for pointing that out. I read through and didn't realise. Sorry for not mentioning it. Hopefully they don't automatically take the subscription now that I've paid for the app

I believe the subscription is for cloud save of scanned documents. Theres nothing stopping you from sharing the scanned output to Dropbox/GDrive/Skydrive and using their instant faxing capabilities.

      • Ah, well that's okay then! Really is a great app. Don't need a scanner anymore.

  • Join with a .edu.au account and you get the features for free along with additional space :) The most important one is the removal of the watermark for me.

  • I got this sometime ago and never paid for it (through some facebook promotion from memory, I think) and it is good for the occasional scan.
I never see any watermark for my scan and silly me just notice that that it also seem to have uploads to their cloud automatically enabled for me up to 400MB.
Could someone kindly confirm please if this means it is regarded as a full version and no need to purchase this then as it seems to have same features enabled, BTW I do not have an edu account.
    Thanks in advance, cheers!

That was the last promotion, should be the same as the 0.99 promotion.

    0.99 include
    Support high-quality scans
    - PDF files are created with no watermark
    - Evernote/SkyDrive uploading feature will not expire
    - No ads

Which is very good, for ocr, you can just upload to google doc :D

  • This app is free on WP8. A nice little bonus for us users who normally miss out on a few of the lessor known apps

    • -1

Only thing on WP8 is that you can not email as pdf attachment. Only a link. However it does sllow you to sent as a picture.

      • +1

True, but emailing a link to a PDF is hardly any different to emailing an attached pdf
