Vinomofo 96pt Shiraz Secret Deal 2011 ($9.90/Bt, 50% off RRP) + $9 Delivery

63

Hi All,

I am a happy red wine drinker who has converted to Vinomofo. I now get almost all my wines from them. The last Secret Deal (Schild Shiraz) was a steal! Thanks Mofo's!!

I am pretty excited by this Barossa Shiraz. I have tried to get an idea or inkling of what this wine is, but honestly, I couldn't come to any solid conclusion.

BUT,a Barossa Shiraz for under $10 a bottle (RRP $20 bottle) :) I'm taking a leap of faith. I haven't been disappointed with Vinomofo yet :)

Happy & Safe Drinking. (Minimum buy 12 bottles @ $118.80 + $9 delivery)

Vinomofo description (from their website):
Let us pose a question to you Mofos… where can you get a 96pt Shiraz from a famous 5 red star winery and STILL get change for a tenner? Don't know? Unsure? The local Bottle-O? No, no, no. Don't go anywhere because we've got it right here. In our Mofo Buyer John's words "That is the whack!" and we couldn't agree more!

Bursting with ripe blueberries, white pepper and mulberry, a rich but medium-bodied mid-palate and a balanced long finish - it’s easy to see how this stunning Shiraz won the judges over in blind tastings at major wine shows, both nationally and internationally. It certainly blew our three Mofo Buyers away and we swear on our 100% Mofo Happiness Guarantee that you too will be won over. When you see the name on the label, you'll understand why we were sworn to secrecy… ;)

All you are doing is copy/paste from vinomofo and seeking people to use your referal link. How about telling us what we don't already know about vinomofo. In other word, how is this a bargain if we don't know what we are paying for?

It's the Thorn Clarke Terra Barossa Shiraz 2011, sells for $15.30 in dozens here: http://www.wineselectors.com.au/product/THORN31111-Thorn-Cla…
I haven't tried it, but despite the show results, Barossa in 2011 was the worst vintage for about 20 years…

    • How did you find out it is the Thorn Clarke?? Well done….share your skills with me??

      • +1

Can confirm that this is a Thorn Clarke Terra Barossa Shiraz 2011.

      • They give you enough information to figure it out. It's the only wine to win those two ratings.

sandpiper and terra barossa are the same thing with terra barossa being the export label

  • I totally agree Stevo, as I said in my description, I have NO IDEA what this wine is, I could NOT come to any conclusion after looking at previous deals.

Either way, I am excited by it, I have taken the plunge, I haven't been disappointed by Vinomofo yet. Maybe I like red wine a wee bit much.

Just trying to share a deal mate, for those who don't want to take the blind leap of faith, that is completely reasonable (and probably normal).

There will be others, like me, who will take the leap. If they wish to use my or any other referral link then happy days!!!

  • This is more like spam. The whole point of the website Vinomofo is to offer discounted wine. There is no reason to separate this deal with any of the other wines on their website.

I'm not really a big fan of wines. But tbh I'm getting sick of seeing these kinds of ads the same supplier everyday. Maybe consider one of those group buying sites. This is ozbargain professionals' site. Please

i love how people criticize this wine deal, but then if there is a way to get a $1 cheaper mcflurry or $2 cheeseburger then its amazing and gets thousands of votes.

You want the forums flooded with every deal that pops up on groupon, scoopon, livingsocial, grocery run, vinomofo etc?

      • +2

This is a $10 discount per bottle. It is a bargain as much as every other post on here.

      • -2

        Only if they allow referrals.

  • 2011 wasn't a very good year for the Barossa reds at all, I've had a couple already and other vintages just surpass them by a heck of a lot. I wouldn't punt on 12 bottles of these until we can get some indication of value.

OP, if you are confident that redbigot's assessment of the mystery is accurate you should change the descripton to match it and also give credit to redbigot. Either way it appears the advertised savings which is off RRP is not as great from true savings (off what you can buy them at local stores). Until then, I agree with above posters that this is spam.

  • The Schild Estate Shiraz is still available ($6 Bottle/$72 for 12) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/141567
