[VITA] Persona 4 Golden $24.95 ($22.46 PS+) @ SEN / Playstation Store

430

Persona 4 Golden $24.95 on the Playstation Store (AU) or $22.46 for PS+ members.

I noticed this today when checking the store on my Vita. Apologies if this isn't a deal as it may be the new price (as it's listed under the Price Drops menu).

Last time I checked a couple weeks ago this was still at $54.95.

A few other games with price drops worth mentioning:
- Assassins Creed III Liberation $14.95 ($13.46 PS+)
- Rayman Legends $18.45 ($16.61 PS+)

Edit: From the description on the store, it appears this is only on sale at this price until 12AM GMT 08/05/2014 (10AM Sydney time Thursday 08/05/2014).

    Everyday's great at your Junes!

It's under Deal of the Week so I doubt a permanent price drop.

There is also a Star Wars Sale (doesn't look that good) and a Great Games, Great Prices sale, mostly Ubisoft (as previously mentioned by christopher8827)

If you have a US account it is only $15 USD for PS+ members. This and a few other Japanese games are on sale at the moment on the US store as they have a golden week sale. Here is a link for the games included in the sale http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/04/28/golden-week-sale-c…

I set up a US PSN precisely for this reason. I did a quick check before jumping onto PS+. Seems the EU/AU get cooler IGC titles but the discrepancy in discounts and stock prices are waaay too biased for US.

      • Can you please share how to setup a US Psn account and also add credit to it?

        • Buy credit from Amazon, or if you have an AMEX card just enter that into your account details and make purchases directly by card.

  • ACIII seems like a potential ps+ game. Decent price though

    • remove

    • ACIII was available for free on PS+ last September.

      • yes it was. but we are referring to ACIII: liberation the vita version which hasnt been on ps + yet.

        • Ahh gotcha :)

  • Good game! Has me coming back the most out of my Vita games.

    • Nope

The original deal is a list of multiple items and the item is not contained in the title of the original deal.

I don't know about anybody else, but that wall of text in the other post… I read about 2 lines.

      • That would suggest you could make a separate post for each item in that sale. Awesome.

  • Still a dupe

So this is obviously a good game. Is it good enough that I'd like it even though I've never really gotten into JRPGs?

    • +3

      Yup

    • Yeah, I used to like JRPG's but haven't played them for many, many years because they got so boring. Picked up this and love it. It's also very accurate in it's depiction of J-towns and J-schools (just got back and playing it made me "home"sick :D

    • If you're not into JRPGs it's a bit slow. There's a lot of dialogue. If you're impatient it will be quite some time before you actually do any gameplay.

  • Memory card full already but will order it now for later. Thanks!

  • Also, this is one of the best games ever made and has an awesome soundtrack, everyone should buy it at this great price.

Physical copy was $25 on EBgames sale before xmas if anyone wants to know if it is worth getting digital copy now or wait for another EBgames sale.

    • And $24 is the normal second hand price, from memory.

      • yep, just picked it up for $24 preowned a fortnight ago.

i'm around 8hrs in and am forcing myself to really like it :( all the reviews/comments were so positive but i don't know why it's not clicking with me!

        • Even on release it was only 29 brand new. I got it for 25 with coupons. People aren't really voting for the bargain but for the quality of the game.

        • ^^what part are you up to? I would say it doesnt click until 10 hours in and also when you start understanding the mechanics of the game.

        • i can now venture around by myself (eg. school, shopping district, home, velvet room, etc) and have just hit my first foggy period where i then went in to rescue Yukiko… i've joined a sporting club and bought a few books to read in by bedroom. that's pretty much it.

does it improve much more? i've got FFX/X-2 and MGS-HD just beckoning me to switch over hahaha…

        • +1

Hmm Yukiko is the first real dungeon so you are pretty early on. Maybe play until you finish the second dungeon and see how you feel. Most people say that the game does take a while to get started.

        • +1

Maybe it's just not for him. No game suits everybody.

Although with that said, this shit was like a drug to me. I played for hours straight til I dozed off and continued playing when I woke up. Still took me about a week to finish it.

Also here's a tip every player needs to hear: MAX OUT WITH MARIE ASAP!

        • yep i wouldnt have if i didnt have a walkthrough handy..but its a must.

        • cheers guys, i'll definitely continue to give it attention for at least another few dungeons/hours!

  • The original was a blast on PS2, eventually they did a remake and added extra story and Personas on vita.

Original was first released in 2008.

Can't believe it's still going strong in 2014.that's how good it is

Shows there's a lack of food jrpg since then. There's only Xenoblade chronicles

  • So how do i redeem this in for my Playstation Plus US account?

When i put it my credit card info in my Vita it says it's invalid (probably because it's a US account?).

When i try to top up funds on the Playstation Plus US website, it keeps redirecting me to the Australian link.

    Frustro.

    • Easiest way is to buy credit from Amazon, making sure to use a US address.
