If you bought Super Mario Kart you can still get $10 off the download copy AND get the free game though. Plus if you have a black console you will get 10% of any online purchases as store credit. RRP of Mario Kart 8 is $79.95, you get $10 off for buying Super Mario Kart, which is what that game costs anyway, so in effect for $79.95 you get:
Not a bad deal if you're happy with digital copies. Of course, if you only want Mario Kart 8 and the free game then it's probably cheaper at Big W.

Depends I guess, you could get the basic console then just get the game and would end up around $370. But that's at current prices. Wouldn't amaze me if retailers jack up the basic console price back to $349, Big w has already put up the premium back to $428 after months being $378

Well u can get either the blue shell with the game or Two Random Mario Kart K'Nex Figures.
It's both if you were able to get the Blue Shell Edition, otherwise you just get those K'Nex figures.

It appears EB is selling preorder bundle of Premium Wii U (black) and Mario Kart 8 (not the blue shell one which is talked about here) for $429. Still cheaper to have bought it during the $250 days for the basic with Skylanders, selling Skylanders, and buying MK8.

I'd go review them on youtube to get a good idea of which one you would like.
WindWaker is pretty cool. For Lost World, have a go and download the demo and get a good feel for it.

New Super Mario Bros U is what caught my eye. I have NintendoLand and I also enjoy that as a fun, downtime kind of game.
Already have both of those but I too am trying to pick the easy casual downtime game. I'm no longer into hardcore things and just enjoy simple easy pick up and play games which don't require much thinking. Pikmin 3 sounds like a good choice even though it isn't the epic Zelda game.
If you haven't got Wonderful 101 and you've played Wind Waker, get the Wonderful 101. Because hnng, dat ending.

I would probably go with Sonic Lost World. Game and Wario is no where near as good as the previous versions

Pretty sure it won't work. You could just make a UK club N account and WiiU account, link them and download it though.

Last year I was unable to link WiiU to my UK account - WiiU unlike 3DS didn't have country switch.

Actually, the codes will work in Australia as long as it isn't a first party game or published by Nintendo. In this case, no you won't be able to use that code for Australian Club Nintendo, but in the case where it's a third party title with code(unlikely on wii u), you are able to use the code.

In my own personal opinion, it's absolutely fantastic. I'd say 8.5 out of ten, losing 1.5 marks due to hard-to-learn controls and occasional fiddlyness, but it's absolutely ESSENTIAL for a wii-u owner.

Keep in mind because it's linked to Club Nintendo if you buy the game from an online seller who gets the UK version (blockbuster, video easy etc) the download code probably won't work. So to be safe make sure to buy from a local retailer (Big W etc)
You can always just change the console location make a UK account. That's what I did for my Arkham origins dlc after I bought the game from ozgameshop

Just wondering, for those of us with the basic wiiU - will the downloaded game fit on the 8 gig of space our wiiU has, or will we need to get a cheap external drive? I'm assuming it won't but thought I'd check.

It will probably fit since GTA5 was only 8 GB, but it's still recommended that you get an external drive anyway, because if you like demos or buying from the store, this will run out fairly quickly.

great brought myself the skylanders bundle last month odd 250 and got rid of skylanders and Nintendo land on flea bay and brought myself AC3 and SM3DW from the revenue from NL and skylanders. wonder any price drops on MK8 soon before the offer ends

Not sure what you mean, i believe its a digital download so you need a WiiU … you can buy it as a gift for someone with a WiiU and they can download it?

More along the lines of, I don't have a Wii-U now, but sometime in the next year or two I could imagine myself buying one (and would want to get Mario Kart). So I guess the two questions are, how long is the digital download valid for, and is it possible to redeem before I have a Wii-U?
Of course, I'd have to get my wife to go along with this too, so it probably won't happen anyway!

The download code can be used to download the chosen game from Nintendo eShop to any Wii U console*. The download code expires on September 30th 2014, 22:59 (UK time).
