  • How does it compare to Aldi's O'Donnells Irish Cream ?

    • Huh? So you've never tried Baileys?

      • +6

Yes, but I haven't tried O'Donnells Irish Cream.

        • +2

It tastes about half the price.
If you've got a spare $12.99 try it.

        • It tastes about half the price.

Have you tried them both ?

        • taste actually very good (not the best)

        • Yep.

        • +2

Forget O'Donnell's, try father o'learys for a similar price ($13ish)

        • -2

          try father o'learys

          Who sells it?

        • +7

Google not working for you tonight?
          (Dan's sell it)

        • I think it's probably the best of the cheaper knock-offs. Close your eyes and I doubt you could tell the difference after a few. Unlike Father O'Leery's it's actually an Irish Irish Cream. Perfect for the Mother in Law.

    • "How does it compare to Aldi's O'Donnells Irish Cream ?"

Good question. O'Donnells is 50ml larger.

    • O'Donnells tastes great. I made the switch from Baileys a few years ago and haven't looked back.

  • +2

    Dan's prices are 24.95/24.90

    • Which is more expensive…

      • +2

        Correct

  • the dude abides

Costco's regular Baileys price is about $31 for 1L, which is cheaper than Aldi.

They have 700ml Baileys with Biscotti for $19.99 or so as well.

    • Baileys with Biscotti is almost worth $19.99…..
Stick with the original! ALDI have a 1L Baileys for $29.50 but I haven't seen this in store so appears to be online only. Don't know how long it will last.

  • It's times like these I really hate living in Queensland.

    • @Gilbarc

OK if you live on the gold coast tho(Tweed Heads) :)

      EDIT: link https://www.aldi.com.au/en/groceries/liquor/

      • Alas, I'm on the north side of Brisbane.

        • Costco opening soon at Northlakes.

        • Can anyone confirm Costco North Lakes will sell alcohol?

        • +1

If Aldi, Coles and Woolworths aren't allowed to sell alcohol, I can't imagine that Costco would be exempt.

    • Mmm. I was wondering if Dan Murphy's would pricematch given that they know Aldi doesn't sell alcohol in Qld so it's not available for purchase at the other store (which is usually a condition)?

      • +1

Sometimes they'll drop their price to match a competitor rather than have to keep manually doing price matches. If we're lucky, and they do do that, hopefully it'll be nationwide.

  • white russian cocktails are quite yummy.

  • good deal

  • Southbank has an Aldi next door to Dan Murphy's, convenience!

You ever drunk Bailey's from a shoe?

What about when wearing a thong ;)

      @Sirlofty…

Wanna come to a club where people wee on each other?

      :-)

  • remember $5 off Amex deal at Dans puts one bottle at 19.95: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/138773
    (until 30/4)
[could try price match, but Aldi catalog doesn't start till 3-May, and Dan's Amex finishes 30/4]

  • was going to post this last week but the online catalogue said only available online and kahlua $34.95 not $22.99
    http://www.lasoo.com.au/catalogue/aldi-catalogue-special-buy…

    • That link is for their online shop and is for a 1L Kahulua. Their catalogue in store shows a 700ml Kahlua for $22.99 on sale 3rd May. Note: - I don't think they sell alcohol in all stores so it may depend on where you live.

  • SA has neither Aldi nor Costco, so all these ads upset me :(

  • Went to Dan Murphy's in Richmond (VIC) this morning, Kahlua was $24.90 on the shelf, asked if they'd price match on the Aldi catalogue - "sure, no problem". Scanned the bottle, Dan's had already dropped the price to $22.90.
