I've been looking for a decent baby monitor, and a friend told me about this particular model.
It connects to your home wifi, and you can access the live video footage from your smartphone via the free app.
The app feeds a live video with sound, allows you to talk to the baby, take videos and pictures, shows the room temperature and also play some melodies to the baby.
I tested it on her iphone, and it worked a treat!

  It should be noted that you don't need to buy from www.oo.com.au to get the rebate.
  For example, MSY also have it for $179

    Yup. I just used the oo site as their shopping shopping was half of msy for me.
    Pick up would be cheaper for msy.

  Is this any different from other IP-cams, aside from the baby blue/pink bits of plastic?
  Seems a lot of money for one with no pan/tilt.

  It should also be noted that a lot of parents think baby monitors are a bad idea.
  Don't get one just because you think its on the list with change table, cot and car capsule.

    Can you recommend any others with the same capabilities that might be better or cheaper or both?

    I'd actually like something similar to this but I'm not too keen on the baby colours.

      http://www.tmart.com/720P-11-LEDs-Plug-in-Card-Night-Vision-… has similar capabilities but under $70 - 720p, full Pan Tilt Zoom and 2 way audio - make an ideal baby monitor

        I had this one and it was useless. wifi would not stay connected. Its a known problem with the devices

        I suppose with this Dlink one you get an app and also the branding and support of Dlink vs random brand with no app

  DLink comes with temperature sensor, 2-way audio and push alerts to mobile/tablet app. Memory card slot and Dlink cloud support is big bonus.
