    Store Rep:

I click on the DEAL Button, my anti-virus software alerts me the following, pls comment.

      RED ALERT

When I directly type in www.Redpawpaw.com.au myself, I STILL get the SAME warning msg!!!

      Something fishy here???

      • Hi John,

I received the below response from our hosting company. I have asked our developer to install the additional chain but it is likely that won't be done until next week now. Just wanted to let you know.
If you try from another browser you should not experience the issue though.

        Hi Sarah,

When GeoTrust upgraded to 2048bit keys, some old browsers (like Firefox and IE7) need the additional certificate chain to be
installed on your site, which directs them to the appropriate keys, ensure your users this only occurs with certain browsers and shall be addressed once the certificate chain is installed.

        Thank you,

    • Hi John,
Thanks for letting me know about the issue you are facing. It is not happening on my Mac or iPad but I will get in contact with our hosting company and find out what is going on. We definitely have a SSL certificate for this site and most people are signing up with no problem.
Will come back to you shortly.

    • No issues here (running Comodo Dragon, secure sibling of Chrome).

      • Great, thanks for letting us know Seisei.
It seems to be an issue with the Firefox browser. Have got our hosting provider looking into it.

Albury is actually in NSW and not Victoria

    • +1

It could probably be said also that Canberra is in the ACT too. But we know it's really in NSW and ACT is just made up to make VIC not feel 2nd best.

    • Sorry, my bad, I really should know that since I am a Victorian (now living in Syd).
      Will update :)

  • Hi,
I really wanted to sign up last time but my mobile kept warning me about security issues as well. Happy to sign up once the issues are fixed as looks like a great deal.

    • Hi Calkay,
Are you using Firefox too? John (above) had this issue and I am wondering if it is specific to that browser. Regardless, I am on to it and will come back and let you know as soon as it is sorted.
      Thanks for letting me know.

  • What sort of stuff is included in the pack each month? It's all find to say it's $30 worth or stuff but remember us Ozbargainers will never pay retail.
And I would like it to be stuff that my mum might actually use. And unfortunately the rubbish in womens day does not fall under that description.

    • Hi Damnable,
The products in the box will change each month depending on what new products our brand partners are launching or would like to trial to our subscribers. For the May box there will be products from SPC (a new jam), Mentos, Green's, Pine O Cleen, Saxa, Taylor's (soup), and more.

      • +4

Are these full-sized products or sample sizes?

        • +2

          Hi Sean,
All the brands I mentioned above have full-sized products in the box but there are a couple of sample sized products in there also (a couple of single Finish dishwasher tablets and a Nivea moisturiser sachet).

        • +2

Thanks rep - honesty's the best policy and I appreciate yours!

  • rep photo of the box contents please this is not a lucky dip

    • +1

      Hi there thelastnoob,
It is a lucky dip actually! Part of the fun is that you get a surprise box of new grocery products to try each month. For just $5, which includes delivery, you get to try over $30 of products.
If you are not one for surprises then it might not be for you.
Sometimes the products in the box are brand new grocery products that are only being launched to the public in the month the box is delivered so our brand partners don't want us to spoil the surprise by telling everyone about them before they launch.

  • Ok, looked at the sign up page.
Couple of questions. It says pay first and then create a profile of your household.
So does that mean different households will get different products depending on what they choose ?
Some might get less, some more ?

Also a survey needs to be completed once products have been trialled ? Is it mandatory or optional ?

BTW, No issues accessing site on iPhone on 7.0.6. Get the green lock icon. On safari

    • +1

      Hi Geek7899,
Yes we will use the profile that our subscribers create of their household to help choose products that are most suited. For example, you won't receive a baby product if you don't have a baby in your household but you will receive at least $30 worth of product every month no matter what profile you create.

The survey is only mandatory for the 'Trial & Feedback' package. We reduce the price on that package as a thank you for providing feedback. If you aren't into providing feedback you can choose the 'Trial only' package which costs $10 per month or $100 per year.
All our 'Trial & Feedback' subscribers will receive a link to the survey by email after they receive their box. The survey is quick and easy with 3 simple questions per product and the option to write your own review if you choose which will be shared with the brand owner.

Glad to hear no issues on your iPhone! :)

  • If we have paid for the one month trial in May - is there a way to just add one more month (ie. pay $5 more and add June)? Sorry if this is obvious, but I can't find it.

    • Hi Littlewriggle

The free Women's Weekly offer is only valid for the annual package which costs $50 per year for the 'Trial & Feedback' option or $100 per year for the 'Trial' only package.

If you would like to cancel your monthly $5 package and purchase an annual subscription instead, then please email me at [email protected]

  • For $5 I'll give it a go.
The kids enjoy getting the pinchme samples, even when it is baby food or a razor.

    • haha - glad to hear your kids like surprises too :)

Thanks for subscribing, it's great to have you on board.

Signed up for the year last time round. The magazine will just be automatically included in my order now yeah?

    • Hi Jason,

No, as per the details on this deal, you just need to email your confirmation email (either the welcome email or the eWAY payment confirmation) to [email protected] and mention the OzBargain offer.

Once you do that, you can be sure you'll receive your magazine in your June box.

      • Oh yeah sorry missed that in the description. Thanks :-)

  • So $5/m or $50/y is your regular price.

The 'bargain'/'deal' here is the free magazine ?

But to be fair, I think $5 to pay for $30 worth of grocery is a deal in itself ?

    Also, another question Rep:
Your website mentions "new and exciting" products. So I assume that these products will not have been launched for the general public and not on supermarket shelves when we receive them ?
But do they have the relevant approval from any concerned authority ?

Also, just confirming that if you buy years worth of subscription for $50, you get 14 months actually for that price ?

    • Hi Geek7899,

Yes I think it is a great deal to get $30 of product to try for just $5, especially since it includes deliver :)

Not all the products will be new, some will be products that the brand owners want to market to our subscribers again, like the Pine O Cleen wipes in the May box. Most products will be available on supermarket shelves but some will only just have been launched. That way if you like them you will be able to buy them from your local supermarket when you run out.

The annual subscription rate of $50 is for 12 months. If you choose to pay monthly you will pay 12 x $5 = $60 for the year so you save $10 by choosing the annual package….plus you get the free Women's weekly magazine if you subscribe by 1st May.

  • Rep, I am trying to enter my delivery / billing details but my Wodonga street address does not appear in the generated drop-down list, even though you deliver here. I am also unable to enter the name 'Wodonga' manually. Can you help?

  • Hi Boodek,

Please send me an email with your address to [email protected]
Sometimes you need to type your address, including the suburb to help the address validation software find your address and show it to you in the dropdown box.

    • All sorted - thanks.

  • Hi, Still really interested in signing up but keep getting the same message not to trust your security. On my mobile using chrome. Hopefully you can fix the issue?

    • Hi Calkay,

I received the below response from our hosting company. I have asked our developer to install the additional chain but it is likely that won't be done until next week now. Just wanted to let you know.
If you try from another browser you should not experience the issue though.

      Hi Sarah,

When GeoTrust upgraded to 2048bit keys, some old browsers (like Firefox and IE7) need the additional certificate chain to be
installed on your site, which directs them to the appropriate keys, ensure your users this only occurs with certain browsers and shall be addressed once the certificate chain is installed.

      Thank you,

  • Sounds interesting. Like a paid membership from pinch me kind of thing. I've signed up and looking forward to seeing how it goes. 2 quick questions that I have though -

    1. Pinch me has gone a bit limp over time going from really good offerings to hardly worth bothering offerings. Is there any chance of the same thing happening here or have you taken steps to combat this?

    2. Is there a limit per household? I live at a different address to where I get my mail sent for the simple reason that I'm not always able to receive parcels, so I have it shipped to the parents knowing that they are always able to get it. If they like what they see and choose to sign up would this cause an issue of multiple parcels going to one address?

    • +1

      Hi Rekabkram,

      Thanks for subscribing, much appreciated.

      1. I would guess it is difficult for PinchMe to find such high numbers of products each week since they have over 100k people on their FB page. We limit our memberships to ensure that we will always be able to give our subscribers over $30 of grocery products in every box. We want to ensure our subscribers love their Redpawpaw box and are engaged enough to provide feedback on the products each month so we don't intend to spread ourselves too thin.

      2. There is only one box per email address but you can have multiple boxes to the one house as long as each subscriber completes the monthly feedback survey (if they choose the 'Trial & Feedback' package that is).

Thanks again for your support. Hope to hear that your parents do like what they see and decide to join also :)

  • It can't find my address either !

    • Hi geek7899,

Try typing your whole address plus your suburb into the first address field and see if your address appears in the dropdown box so you can select it.

If that doesn't work, please email me your address at [email protected] and I will find a solution for you.

      Thanks!

      • Managed to sign up using your method.
But you might wanna have it fixed. My address comes up perfectly on other websites, say Aus Post, Telstra etc

If me (or someone else) was trying to sign up without your assistance, they would have probably given up !

Now, to another issue with your website:
As I was entering my CC details, I encountered an error "D4406 Error". I was using AMEX. I then tried using Mastercard. Payment went through. So it appears that your website doesn't accept AMEX.
But NOWHERE on the website it mentions that !
"D4406 Error" is not a very user friendly way to tell a customer that "AMEX cards are not accepted. Please use VISA or MC".
Just a single line in FAQ will go a long way.

        • Hi geek7899,

Thanks very much for subscribing and sorry the process didn't go smoothly for you.

Appreciate the feedback re signing up and also the payment options. We did have our payment option icons (Visa and Mastercard) in the footer a couple of weeks back but it looks like they were left off the new design. I will make sure they are added back in.

Thanks again and I look forward to hearing you feedback once you receive your first box.

  • Just signed up and have sent them am email. looking forward to the redpawpaw box :)
