What if I don't live in Sydney and there are not Asian grocery stores nearby?
Good on your for setting up an online business to target the "busy" peeps who don't have time to go Asian grocery shopping…However, the prices "seem" inflated…
eg. http://www.skasiangrocery.com/collections/instant-noodles/pr… is only $0.65/pack - $0.70/pack at various Asian grocers in Melb.
ditto for http://www.skasiangrocery.com/collections/instant-noodles/pr…
I am sure there are bargains on the website, I will check it in more detail later…
Again, we don't all live in major cities. Where I live they sell Pocari Sweat or however you spell it for $4 a bottle. These guys had it for $2.50.
Is this Bing Lee's grocery store spin off?
If only the prices were negotiable too…
Too expensive! Don't forget to add shipping cost from $7.95 to $11.95 per 7kg.
Overpriced products.
I cannot see any bargain here.
I'll see what I can do about the prices. Our on line services are quite new and so we don't get any benefits from Australia Post shipping yet and have to incorporate some shipping in items. These items like the ones mentioned are usually quite bulky for their weight and so can be costly to deliver.
Perhaps you should setup a form where people can submit price match request. If your prices are cheaper than competitors then surely many people will order from you.
Well… its pretty good for people who lives in rural areas where no Asian groceries around..
I'm Mining Engineer working at Narrabri(7 hours from Sydney, and 3 hour drive from Mudgee…)
I wouldn't mind paying extra if he can actually deliver the goods as its almost impossible to find these items
in Narrabri. ( I'm also amazed at the variety of goods too !)
I bet he gets plenty of customers who lives in the Blue Mountain. I hardly see any Asian stores nearby.
Exactly. Their prices beat my local store as I am obviously one of the impoverished that doesn't live in a major metro area where Asian groceries are a dime a dozen.
cheaper to buy (snacks) from local asian groceries; even in Sydney CBD.
e.g. http://www.skasiangrocery.com/products/pepero-choco-almond-s… you sell $1.50. I can buy this for only $1.00 in Sydney CBD.
I only checked some of the snacks' prices.
