You should probably put "300g" in the title.

  • +2

Price per kilo please. (I believe that this is now a legal requirement under Fair Trading legislation?)

    EDIT:

    Scotch Fillet Steak (300 gm)

    Actually $8.50 per piece.

    So, $28.35 per kilo.

Plus, OP can;t spell - "Tova Platinum Sotch Fillet"
should be - Tova Platinum Scotch Fillet

Odd , how you can't distinguish between a store rep and OP, yet a missing "c" in a title impacts you significantly…

        OP can't spell

fixed that up for you before anyone notices A3A ;)

wouldnt want people to think ive been rubbing off on you..

Thank you. It may have been a 'typo'. Bit difficult posting comments from a bouncy bus on my way to Bondi Junction.

        Not odd at all.

The OP is a Rep, and the Rep is the OP.

I can address them either way, or as both.

Sure you "can" but you know deep down it was an oversight just like the rep's typo in the title…

          Nope, they're interchangeable, dude.

A rep is also an OP, but an OP isn't necessarily a rep.

Shall we delve deeper into semantics?

        • Nope, they're interchangeable, dude.

Yup, in this case, absolutely correct.

        • Nice selective reading!

What the heck are you talking about?

In this case the Rep is also the OP. So, addressing comments to the RE, the OP, or to the Rep/OP, are all correct ways of addressing replies or comments.

In other cases the OP may not be a Rep. However, this is not relevant in this case.

and that it's actually $8.50 in link!

  • +1

"Spearheading Craig Cook's collection of top tier meat brands is his own - Tova Platinum Grass-Fed Beef and Lamb."

So, supposedly fed on grass, not grains and/or commercial cattle feed mixes?

      • Grass-Fed

ahh that wasnt pointed out in this deal. i also dont think that in its self accounts for nearly $60/kg normal price.

  • +2

Is this grass fed or grain?? Feedlot finished?? Ageing process??
It is a good price if some of these points are known! Yet pricey if just grain fed standard feedlot cattle!

  • Cut and paste
But no mention of ageing method or if grass finished of feedlot

As opposed to the cows that normal butchers sell which live their life in cages

As opposed to the cows that normal butchers sell which live their life in cages

i thought they only caged pigs to help stop them flying away?

      • Ha

      • From RSPCA website

Most sheep and beef products in Australia come from animals that were born and raised in extensive (outdoor) environments, so they can also be termed free-range. However, some cattle and sheep may have been held in feedlots in the last stage of their production to increase their growth rate prior to slaughter and to help ensure consistency in meat quality. A feedlot is a confined area where animals are fed daily rations of (mainly) grain to reach a certain target weight. By some definitions, ‘free range’ would exclude products from animals that had been held in feedlots.

Think of Monty Python "wafer thin mint" scene but with grain and drugs added
They literaly force feed them grain, growth hormone and antibiotics

CAFO stands for Concentrated Animal Feedlot Operation — in broad terms, a rather sanitised descriptor to define the modern industrial livestock business. Here, animals live in tightly confined spaces surrounded by their own faeces, are fed excessive amounts of unnatural feed and receive copious amounts of drugs to keep them alive, rapid growth and uncontaminated.

At $28/kg this is a normal price. Most wholesale butchers will sell grass-fed scotch fillet for ~$25/kg. This certainly is NOT a deal worthy of posting here. REP, you spammed us last time you posted and I feel that you are using OzBargain as another way of advertising, but if you're not coming here with real bargains then perhaps OzBargain isn't your right avenue.

  • +1

OP should have posted it as Scotch Fillet under 3c per gram…to make it even more attractive…

  • +1

Please update to show price per KG. Seems a bit misleading with the current title.

  • +1

    totally agree. no deal here.

  • +2

Rep I'll give you a +1 if you modify the deal so you cook it for me and add a side of chips and Pepper sauce?

    • +2

urgh damn you…. now i want some awesomely crunchy chips with garlicy peppery gravy…
