Part of the Big W clearance list. Might be useful to convert those Pr0m videos you cherish.
Price comparisons would suggest this is a good deal if you like this sort of thing http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=LG+DVD+Reco…

Has a ton of negative reviews
This machine is absolute garbage! If you bought one, get a refund. A relative bought one but it's been nothing but trouble. It does NOT record onto VHS tapes, and the playback of VHS tapes is appalling. Tracking adjustment does almost nothing, so there are lines through the picture. It was repaired but three months later the problem returned. DVDs recorded on this player can't be watched on other players unless you go through a process of finalizing the disc, which my elderly relatives simply cannot get their heads around.
It doesn't have an HD tuner, so many channels can't be watched, let alone recorded.
If you really need VHS, buy a second-hand Panasonic or something for $20 from eBay. If you need to record onto DVD, buy a dedicated recorder with an HD tuner, preferably with a hard disk built in.
Many bad reviews even on LG's own website:
