The Telstra 3G price is good but found these at DSE…

    Optus 3G + 3GB starter kit - $29 @ DSE

    Optus Wifi modem + 2GB starter kit - $39 @ DSE

EDIT: Page 40 of the catalogue…

    Some edible bargains too… :)

    Thx OP !

    • Makes you wonder how the price of some products are so different from store to store. I've removed that optus one because that looks like the dicksmith one is a permanent price so how can u save $30 on the big w one, normally dicksmith is over priced.

      • Yeah the Optus one on DSE is normal price, I was looking at them a few weeks ago and it hasn't changed.

    • Them optus wifi modem with 2gb data
i bought one a week ago
from DSE activated it and turns out i got 5gb data
so was a goo deal for me

    • "The Optus E5331 3G Mini WiFi Starter Kit includes up to 2GB of included data with 14 days expiry for use within Australia."

14 days expiry. is that right?

  • Cannot find the Telstra USB 3g deal for $15 anywhere?

    • its at woolworths and big w

    • Look in Big w catalogue

  • It seems that I can get 12gb data recharge to use over 12 months costing $180 with Telstra, which would be the same as $15 a month/gb.

So would I be better off getting 12 of these sticks, using the card once a month? Would be more economical as I'd squeeze some time between recharges, but what to do with 11 spare sticks? And I guess a little painful to activate new ones every month… but I guess this is what an ozbargainer living in New Lambton NSW with TPG/Optus does to get reasonable coverage to use their data! Any advice appreciated. I've used a 3g Telstra stick before and works sweet… my data needs are infrequent and only work related processing of emails spreadsheets.
