I have the S4 and aside from a bit of a dodgy GPS (slow start up) in functionality, the phone is great is just about every other area. I hear about the S5 announcement and release…and then dive into the specs: Let's just say Samsung leave a lot to be desired. It pains me to know the hardware for the FM radio chip is actually INSIDE this phone but physically disabled. How bloody stupid is that? This phone should really should be called the S4+, because there's no real advantage or notable difference and no, the .1" in screen size is not really notable)….they are starting to turn into those knobs over at Apple who announce 2-3 versions of the same phone and do nothing but change the casing colour. If they adopt the Apple approach, then perhaps the S6 or S7 mightbe the next phone I upgrade to.

    • Or just don't buy Samsung? They don't even make the best or best value Android devices.

I would not buy a Samsung phone in the 1st month, wait a couple of months and it will be around the $600-650 mark for grey import.

Iphones on the other hand, not much diff whether you buy it when launched or 6 months later.

This phone has a lot of hidden issues with kitkat and low memory. People will expect to compensate it with the sdcard as in the past, but KitKar has crippled the RW rights. Hence, only 8GB of usable memory and no option to install apps in SD card. Price is going to drop as soon as people start realising of the limitations. I reckon samsung will patch KitKat
