Was going to get one, until I found out the mouse costs extra !
This is why you catch your own with a bit of cheese and a $2 trap!
MSI GE60 Apache Pro 15.6" Gaming Notebook (2PE-037AU) seems alright:
4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz) 8GB DDR3 1600MHz 1TB 7200RPM nVIDIA GeForce GTX860M 2GB GDDR5 Genuine Windows® 8.1 64Bit 15.6 inch Full HD (1920x1080) LED backlight, Anty-glare
$1599
Those are some killer specs.
I wouldn't feel right walking around the streets with a bag full of expensive hardware just to get a portable gaming fix. Anything over $1000 and you probably want to consider getting property insurance.
This is why I have a $200 laptop so I don't have to worry about theft, can leave it in the car overnight, can take a piss and come back to it still on the table, etc.You can just get a good laptop cable lock?
Bolt cutters can get through practically anything.
I bought one of these for $1697 from MSY this week… so $1599 is a great price.
Great lappy, only bad thing I can find so far is crappy touchpad. Everything else is great.
10 to 20 percent of these are a fantastic deal. These are far superior to the last gen. Closest thing is the 2014 Razer blade, and this is far cheaper.
Clevo are releasing their competitor' but far larger and noisier than the competition… Aiming history repeats itself. The GTX860M is no. 31 on the list:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphi…So it isn't bad for $1.5K laptop.
But I am waiting until after June (FY) to get anew lappy.
Any bargains ?
