Harvey Norman "50% off Ink Cartridges" Ends 25/6/09 NSW

110

In todays Daily Telegraph on page 16 it had the following advertisement:
"50% off ink cartridges with presentation of this coupon. In store stock only. Exlcudes Value Packs Limt 2 per customer. Offer Ends 25/06/09."

I know Harvey Norman would normally charge Recommended Retail Prices for most things, but with the above coupon (which I have uploaded) their prices maybe fairly good.
Your meant to cut the coupon out of the newspaper and take it in, I have NO idea if a printed off version of the coupon I have uploaded will be accepted.

I personally use compatibles and refills but some people do prefer original carts so with 50% off their carts maybe a good price.

If you need to know where your nearest Harvey Norman in NSW is see:

This is my first post of a deal, I hope some people find it useful :)

  • I have uploaded the coupon via the "media file uploader" but its not showing.
    The link is http://upload.ozbargain.com/2009/06/23/2045_harvey_norman_50…
I don't know if I have done something wrong or if it takes a while to show.

10:10 Update, the coupon shows now :)

  • The coupon doesn't mention much, not even HN.

    • That's all they have put on the Coupon, they have a scissor showing so presumably it's meant to be cut out and handed over at the time of purchase, so they can't complain if it doesn't state Harvey Norman if you go to use it, as THEY decided to publish their coupon that way.

  • Well I could scan the whole page in, but it wont add much info (besides store locations and phone numbers)(and I think most people would know if they have a local Harvey Norman and where it is if they do), I'll scan it in if its people think it will be usefull.

  • I have uploaded the bottom part of the page which shows it is Harvey Norman along with the suburb locations and phone numbers at Photobucket:
    http://s721.photobucket.com/albums/ww217/Zero_Sydney/?action….

  • for those that own HP printers….
possibly combine this with free magazine subscription available from HP:
    http://h50025.www5.hp.com/ENP5/Public/Content.aspx?contentID…

although you need to buy 3 specially marked inks and above coupon is for limit of 2.

    • Possibly if you used 2 coupons you could get three, as the link you posted states:
"Enter the 3 special promotional codes (located inside each box)" so I presume all 3 don't have to be purchased at once (or on the one receipt (it even seems you don't need the receipt just 3 codes)).

From the registration page at HP https://h30456.www3.hp.com/project/Participant_Register.aspx):
"Step 2: Complete online claim form
Each claim must include a correct HP product code for each eligible HP product purchased. An HP product code is a 20 digit code, which will be located inside the box of each specially marked eligible HP ink product with pink tagging. Each code is unique and can only be used once."

  • Confirm this worked at the Harvey Norman at Martin Place, Sydney. They are being strict on the 'value pack' rule (this applies to twin packs as well) and on the '2 packs' rule. They didn't take my coupon, so I might try and use it again.

  • Also appears in "The Advertiser" in Adelaide on Page 30.

  • if this deal was 3months ago, i'd be stocking up on epson 1410 cartridges. but i've installed a rihac cis and i can see no reason for ever going back to buying cartridges.

seriously now, oem wants HOW MUCH??!!?!? for their cartridges? $27 each for the 1410. that's $162 per cartridge change. lame.

great deal! and go harvey norman for providing this deal.

  • good post by Zero Sydney, im impressed with the speed. i saw this post b4 heading into the city, hoping to buy a cartridge or two without the coupon. the cashier turned me down, so no sale. I'll grab the rihac CIS soon, so again, their loss lol.

  • Officeworks are TOPS. They increased their price to match Harvey Normans, halved it, then took off 5%…. using the Harvey Norman voucher.
2 inks for $57 that retail at $60 each.
plus they are HP inks, so I'm 2/3rds of the way to a free magazine subscription.

    • does it matter if they took off 5% first, or halved it first? lol
