How does warranty work for this? Incase of issue I can claim in australia or need to send back to US.
I bought a Moto G recently from Amazon UK. For warranty, motorola said I am ineligible to claim for warranty at all. Austrain Motorola said you need to go to UK. UK one said they dont honour since outside EU. Luckily, Amazon were good and simply asked to send phone back to them. I dont want to go through same hassle with this drive. Does anyone know about warranty?
I'd say back to Amazon, that's the risk. Sometimes they will cover shipping.
to be honest, I treat these drives as commodity items nowadays and ignore the warranty. If something goes wrong with the drive(eg. all of a sudden you can't access the drive), and you send it back to be "fixed", most of time, they'll just give you a new drive to replace the old one. However, they then have my old drive on which I have stuff which are personal. While maybe not easily accessible, it could be as simple as running a data recovery program on the drive, and then all the data shows up.
For the sake of my privacy, I'm usually willing to just eat the cost of the drive, especially if it means shipping stuff overseas.
Good attitude to have with these devices.
Or in the case of HN and DSE. Repackaged and sold to someone else!

I agree and would do the same
Yes? You called?
Mine arrived the other day. It's tiny!
Great drive. Also comes with Paragon NTFS software so I can read/write on my iMac.
Recently got this for $134 from TGG. It's amazingly tiny.
I bought 2 of them last week from TGG when it was 30% off.
Comes to 132.5AUD per drive and I'm happy storing data now.
Local warranty + fast shipping worth for few extra bucks.
interesting the 2.5" drives are rapidly closing the price gap to 3.5" drives, which really haven't dropped mush in the last 2 years (I bought a Seagate 2TB drive for $99 2 years ago, still see them same price now, maybe $10 less)
Yeah, I would really love a 4tb portable that came out recently but its $268.99 plus delivery USD and I'm using up all my WD greens.
Checkout price is $126.88 inc delivery, using Amazon currency converter.
