I've had a maestria for over a year now, steam wand has a stupid plastic foam 'helper' which you cannot remove.

You can slide the sleeve up to reduce the amount of extra air injected into the milk but Still requires serious finesse to produce anything we consider reasonable milk consistency.

Can't find a suitable replacement wand either yet.

I wouldn't buy one again… Look outside nespresso if you want a pod machine with a steam wand.
