FREE Hair Straightener DOLLY July Issue $9.95

210

I just picked up the DOLLY magazine July issue and it comes with a NAK mini hair straightener! Comes in pink and blue colours. It's small, but the temp is good and I can carry it anywhere.

Althought the price said $9.95, but when I bought it at the Box Hill Central Train Station newsagent (next to EB Games), the cashier charged me $7.95! I don't know why and I did not asked! What a bargain!

Sure I saw this post re: this a week ago……

    • My bad, that was on Buckscoop…….

  • To be honest, i wouldn't use this hair straightener lol, it's cheap and it looks like it will do a lot of damage to the hair. I would invest in a better straightener that doesn't do as much damage as cheap ones.

If it hits the right temperature, how can it damage your hair?
      Hair straighteners damage it anyway.

Thanks for the vote Doey21 ^_^

Hair straightener DO damage the hair, same as heated curlers (and hair dye). Therefore, always use those recommended serum or heat protector spray on hair, before and after heating your hair, to protect and condition your hair. Never straight or curl your hair directly. If you don't know how, don't DYI. Go to salon to have your hair done professionally. Lots of youtube blog out there to learn from!

  • I don't really buy many magazines now but I always thought they offered some knick knack free tor readers on a regular basis. ZOO always used to do it. Nonetheless, accept that this is a bargain so positive from me :)

    • Can't imagine Zoo ever offering a hair straightener to their readers ;-)

      • I got a sweat band. The magazine was actually given to me for free so I can't complain :P

Just wondering, is it battery-operated, or..?

I've been thinking of straightening my hair for a while but not sure if I'd like the effect, so this would be nice as a kind of test run to see how I look without waves…

Also, just curious, what protective spray/serum do you use? :)

Some of the good spray/serum available in the market. I do not have a fix brand that I like yet. I always go for nice fragrance. No coconut, no vanilla. I change brands all the time, depending on their price ^_^
