  • The link doesn't appear to work?

the link contains a lduhtrp.net link

    http://www.donottrackplus.com/trackers/lduhtrp.net.php

  • Tempting to subscribe to PC & Tech Authority for $29.97
Is this mag any good these days?

is this the only PC 12 month subscription they actually have?? all the others seems to he US mags which i'm not that interested in :(

    • I purchase it every now and again, you can't really go wrong at $2.49 per issue. Pretty sure that it is the only Australian PC magazine on Zinio.

      • +1

It might be worth checking to see if you can get it for free through your local public library. I can get lots of free Zinio magazines at my Kingston and Monash public library in Victoria online including PC and Tech Authority.

        • sounds like an idea however i dont hang out at my local library, for the sake of $30 its probably not worth my time making a trip there and back etc.

        • did it and subscribed!! i suppose it is quite cheap!

  • Wired US is good value at A$22.40 -> A$13.44 for 12 months.

  • +1

Some magazines are cheaper without code from the US store - use paypal to pay. e.g New Scientist is $96 for 51 issues while on the AU store its $200 for 51 issues. Even after 40% off it would be $120.

    • yeah, buying a magazine on zinio in a foreign currency works out a lot cheaper.

i'd recommend having a look at the international prices of the magazine you want before placing an order. the site is integrated pretty well, and it doesn't seem matter to them what currency you pay; your library includes everything you've bought in any currency.

for example, a 12 month subscription to national geographic in AUD is $44.25. http://au.zinio.com/magazine/National-Geographic-Interactive…

In CAD it is $CAD 24.00 (about $AUD 23.44 at current exchange rates)
      http://ca.zinio.com/magazine/National-Geographic-Interactive…

and, yes, you can use the promo code for any currency. the only thing you might need to be wary of is the international purchase fee from your bank if you want to by card (approx 3% of AUD value, depending on which bank you are with), but if you pay via paypal, it's no problem whatsoever.

  • Total Film for $12 for 13 issues is a good deal

  • Best bargain is US National Geographic (normally, US$20 vs AUD$44.25), with 40% coupon, US$12, yeah!

    Edit…. D'oh, beaten to it by mj90mj90.

    • though USD price is better than CAD price… :)

    • Cant get this to work… I had it on the CAD site and it was $24.00 CAD.. put in the code and it went up to $26.22 CAD and stated… "Price has been changed due to different billing country then Newsstand."

  • Australian Property Magazine for $41.40 AU per year is good.

  • Great opportunity to renew/extend existing subscriptions considering the significant discount available

  • Should point out that it is all digital also.

  • the subscription i was interested in has gone from AU$27 to AU$52 in the last 24 hours, so there is your 40%!

  • For those having trouble with using the US (or other overseas store)this is what I did:

    1. Log in (or create) an Australian account.
    2. Change store to your desired country
    3. Purchase a gift card - use paypal to pay and mail it yourself
    4. Select your magazine (make sure the cost - after discount is less than the gift card value)
    5. Go to checkout
    6. Add any silly numbers for credit card
    7. Add a US (or desired country) billing address
    8. Add the NoFooling code and press review purchase
    9. You should see a screen with reduced price - DO NOT CLICK PROCEED
    10. Top left side click on the link - change billing information"
    11. You will be back to the credit card and address page but with the reduced price in your cart. You may need to update some details - make sure you complete these
    12. Now enter your gift card number
      13 Proceed to complete checkout.

I purchased a USD 100 gift card and subscribed to the following

    1. New Scientists ~$50 for 51 issues
    2. Newsweek ~$20 for 52 issues
    3. Outdoor Photographer ~$9 for 12 issues
    4. Popular Science ~$10 for 12 issues
    5. Gadgets and Gizmos ~$6 for 12 issues
    6. Some single issue magazines to complete the $100
    • Actually all I ended up doing is changing my Country to match the site.. i.e Canada.. my street address, etc left as is.. then it went thru fine. I purchased 3 different subscriptions this way with all my other details except Country as they were originally.

So no need for the whole gift card thing.

      • You are correct however your credit card provider may decline as billing information is incorrect. In my case (last year when they had similar sale) the bank thought it was fraud and cancelled my card a big hassle.

  • +2

Don't forget to check your local library for zinio.
Mine (ACT) has a link to various digital stuff, and Zinio is one of them. I get more free mags through zinio than I can keep up with. New Scientist is one of them.

  • Annual cost of subscription to Viz would be $24.27, or $2.42 per issue. Not bad.

  • I was all set to jump in and subscribe to a bunch of my favorite local mags. Hmmm…. seems a bit sus that many are only available for 3 month subscriptions.

For example, Delicious is issued monthly, yet they're only offering 6 months' worth at a time. Not worth the hassle.

    • It's not Zinio's fault but rather the magazine publisher setting the length of the subscription. You could have just made multiple purchases for each six month period…

  • Great find thanks - does anyone know what this means.. the bit about covermount items…

    13 issues for $19.40 AU *
Please note: This digital version of the magazine does not include the covermount items you would find on printed newsstand copies.

    Thank you

    • No cd/dvd or toy or sample that may come with magazine not included
