What have you done about bad customer service?

Following from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/110143?page=1#comment and after my experience with a sales person which left me speechless and a bit frightened too…

What have you done in the past about bad/rude/ignorant/plain weird customer "service"?

  • If it is discerningly bad, I'll post it to the company's official facebook page

  • I've threatened to go to Consumer affairs (found a rather nifty template for such letters somewhere online), and had a response within 2 hours, prior to that I had been blocked from their FB page (I kid you not, I cannot even see their FB page in a search— but it's there…)… But that's about it… Generally I'll make comment there and then if it's a bricks and mortar shop (EG:- "Tell me, is that your usual sales pitch? What other locations do you guys have stores at?"), failing that, the usual tell any close aquaintences about the company and my experience…

  • I've complained "up the chain" as far as I can until they've corrected the problem to my satisfaction. Even as far as an ombudsman with a bank and an electricity company.
