  1. Screw the tail cap off in counter-clockwise direction.
  2. Remove the battery carrier.
  3. Put batteries in battery carrier, with the negative
    end (flat one) of the battery pointing to the spring.
  4. Insert the battery carrier back into the body.
  5. Screw the tail cap back tightly in a clockwise direction.

    Holy Schweppes that's one powerful… lot of BS you just quoted. No 1610 Lumen light has a light throw of 810m.

        candlepower forums fawn over these things, but even they don't suggest anything like an 800m throw in testing. I have two 35w HID Lightforce Driving lights, and they don't go that far…

        and $189 doesn't seem to be a special price really either

    Bright light, but you can get ~1800 lumens for as low as $35. But this does have a magnetic ring adjuster which is not cheap.

      Admittedly there aren't a huge number of uses, but in search and rescue an over-powered torch is really great. At night you can point out an overturned boat while standing on a cliff top, etcetera. I have seen a police torch from the US which has a spot size about the size of a car, at 1km distance.
