Lindt Blocks 100g, various flavours ranging from Chili to Extra Creamy for $1 (originally $5.50) at SweetAs. This deal was at Boxhill; although they have stores all around Victoria. Price is a fraction of retail, with a used by date of 31/06/09, it also cheaper than the Coles deal ($1.80 - use by 30/11/09). As you can tell by the picture, there was absolutely heaps and people were buying 10s and 20s at a time.

Nice.
I might go there now for some 70% or 85% (if they have it) High Percentage Cocoa Blocks. Not really sure, I only checked it out because they sold Chili flavoured chocolate; never seen that before. And I took the picture + posted because everyone seemed to enjoy the $1.80 @ Coles.
"used by date of 31/06/09"
Does this mean it never expires? ;-)
Who pays $5.50 for their Lindt anyway???? Normal Coles/Woolworths price is almost $2 cheaper than that
Just went.
You see the flavours in the picture, well, that's what your going to get.
Their 70% and 85% were $3.95 per block.
But you could get a box 12 Dark Orange (and others) for $9.95 making it even cheaper.Coles is right near the store in Westfield Southland so I got my 85% Cocoa but at $1.80 (which is still a great buy)
Holy shiz if only I lived close to one of these shops… I would buy a crate full! I love Lindt :D
BTW, the Dark Orange is really nice and its also a larger 150g block :-)
(at my nearest store in doncaster SC) along with the caramel (milk), chilli and intense orange, they also have mint intense, lemon intense, pear intense, ginger, only coffee was missing from their list. actually coles regular price has gone up to $3.85 in a few stores that I've seen, so their $1.80 is a bargain. this is super cheap but of course close to consume by date — not a prob for me!
mint/pear are great for anyone who likes a milder dark chocolate — only problem I have to keep my better half from eating it all!!
check the 'best before' dates - Sweet as usually sells them cheaper if they are close to best before or already past best before date. Note that it is still safe to have it after best before date, but may not be the same quality.
I bought one of these at box hill before. They are about 1-2 days old after expiry date but still taste good.
Thanks for the tip - the Frankston store still has a bit of a range - and some great other bargains at the moment - more than usual - I also bought a very large Lindt box of chocolates reduced from $54.95 to $14.95 - and they were delicious!!
You guys must get the TRUFFLES by JACQUOT from France. They are the BEST! $5 each, I got the dark chocolate, latte and cognac.
