Hi all,

I'm considering the same headset for my gaming laptop. Would you know how they are compared to the Logitech G930?
Not sure about the Logitech G930 but I no longer touch Logitech gear because it's always breaking and the warranty is a nightmare. I was once a massive supporter of their gear; I have a couple of G19's, 2x G15's, 2x G7's, Cordless 2.4 Joystick, and the list goes on.
The one and only drawback to the corsair 2100 is the built-in battery, but they provide 1.5m (USB to Micro USB) charge cable which allows you to charge and still listen. Also, the connection is ONLY USB, no audio jacks. I keep meaning to test it on smart gear (like Samsung TV) but haven't got around to it yet.
The sound is better then any of my other four (4) headsets, flexible ear muffs, very comfortable, excellent for my large skull, and the Mic quality is superb ….. makes speech-to-text a breeze.
Can you believe MSY have caught up with the times? Would you believe me if I said they updated the website?
Yes, they do ship, but I have no idea what the rates are. I probably wouldn't expect the goods shipped any time soon haha.
LOL @ their website update. Atleast last one didn't break on my browser.
They have updated. I remember you had to download PDF files to get parts listing, call to check price & stock levels, and then drive to some crappy shed in the middle of no-where to pick the gear up.
These days I'm loyal to PCCG who have great everyday prices and are excellent regarding returns.
is the corsair Steel Series 5hv3 on special? i just want to buy a good value gaming headset :( haha
lol… i tried to buy something from them once… never again…
Got to their store (30 mins away) with 15 minutes before they closed but they turned me away because they had a massive line in their store already… and they are not even that cheap compared to some other stores, at least not any stores that are closer to me.
ARC is probably $1 more on average, but they are closer and have better service.
Anyway, good find $55 is the cheapest i could find on staticice @ Gocomp
There are plenty of MSY stories out there but nonetheless they are busy as hell sometimes, so how do you honestly expect them to cope with such lines?
I have turned up back in the days and cried after seeing the line ahead of me.
I completely agree, but i just felt that there was still 15 minutes of time to get through them. I know how much a person want to get out of work, but the fact that they could have gotten through all of the customers and then some before they actually had to close.
Anyway each person is different i just perfer to use other stores is all
For the record, I didn't neg. But from that perspective maybe they could have made it in those 15 minutes to get to you. I do recall a bad incident where MSY refused to refund some guy because he was under the impression the new monitor he got had HDMI or something (a few years ago). The employee just looked at him and waited for him to accept the poor service and leave.
If even 2 people in the line were ordering a complete pc worth of parts you would of been there for 30 minutes… I highly doubt MSY would pay overtime to those employees.
Why should they stay back late for you and not get paid?
Close time is close time. Not 15 minutes before. If they stop accepting people at 4:45, then that should be the advetsised time.
The most important reason of all, reputation.
they are not that cheap compared to other stores?
then you quote a store that is more expensive?
because you couldnt organise yourself?
dont be so bitter, have been shopping at MSY For years its well worth the $$$
The main problem is idiot Bogans turn up to the store with no idea what they need and need 30minutes of help picking everything from a USB cord through to a complete system.
Try that at Umart and they'd tell you to f off.
Lol i didn't mean for this product, i mean it in general. I agree this is really cheap. it's just that my experience with MSY hasn't been too good was all.
I just realise you said i didn't have time to organise myself… not true, i placed an order for an item and was told an hour before they closed i could pick it up, car trip over + time looking for parking = 30-40mins + 5mins walk up to the store , then they turned me away… i COULD'VE went another day but i didn't expect them to turn a person away, if i knew that would happen i would've left it to another day.
Good find
since it's USB, will this work on PS3?
Hmm, not sure about that. I'd just pull the trigger and pray. If it doesn't work, just use it as a nice PC headset haha.
PC Only. I looked at this and the Corsair 2100 (which I bought), both were PC only due to the USB connection and lack of audio jacks. I don't know about Xbox1 or PS4 though.

I was interested until I read the review http://www.legitreviews.com/corsair-raptor-hs30-hs40-gaming-…
MSY ship? I thought they were local pick-up only, though I admit I haven't bought from them since 2010 when I lived in Sydney (shipping is the main reason).
Anyway, nice price. They normally have them for $65. I just purchased Corsair 2100 Vengeance wireless though (and they are unbelievable!)
