  Is there any improvement in the mechanics of this over the first one?

  I got put off by the fact that the first one was too arcade like. Every heist was out of your control and always ended up with a shootout. It felt like a glorified shooter with robbery tacked on at the last minute.

  I uninstalled it quite fast, haven't gone back to it and would hesitate to recommend this to anyone if nothing has changed.

    Completely different to the first one. Has more of a realistic feel.

    Its free to play till sunday. Try it out and if you like it buy it :)

  The DLC's are meant to be on sale as well.
  The Dev's said they will go on sale for 66% - 80% off over the weekend.

    lol so my friend got payday 2 from GMG and gifted me takedown.. i activated it on steam and it appeared in my library.. and then to my surprise a new item in my inventory showed up.. a gift copy of the game!

        What's odd is the reviews, the ones on Steam slam it, but the ones on GMG praise it.

        My neg to this deal is simply to point out Payday 2 is cheaper elsewhere, not that this is a particularly bad deal.

        My neg was in keeping with the voting guidelines. It is not the cheapest therefore it got negged.

        I suspect a bit of miscommunication; I did not neg vote because of the reviews I referred to.

        In my first sentence the game reviews I refer to are for TAKEDOWN: Red Sabre as I am replying to CVonV. The second sentence explains the reason for my neg vote for this bargain (Payday 2) is because this bargain (Payday 2) is available elsewhere for cheaper.
