I stumbled on this reasonable bargain today at Dicksmith, looking for a new dash cam since my old one melted on the dashboard. Can't find any cheaper one on this model anywhere else (unless someone else have posted a more recent one my bad :p )
I've only heard good things about this brand and the quality it brings, therefore it was worth the post :)

going by the reviews on the product page, it seems to have heat issues.

they've have had no problems with Perth's 40C+ summers and produce a reasonable image quality. also they don't obstruct your view as much since the viewing screen can be flipped up. but what i like about it most is the removable lithium ion battery which is a clone of the Nokia BL-5C. i can have it running in my car for about 1.5 hours while i'm parked.
