Have tried most of them, do no like Telfast (green) active ingredient is fexofenadine HDL and it doesn't seem to work for me. Any suggestions on where to get them at a good price, as they are around $1 a tablet from most chemists or supermarkets.
Wonder if anyone knows a good deal for Hayfever tablets

shrugs
might as well pop M&Ms
they are cheaper and still don't work but they taste great =)
instead of finding value for money first, have you found something that actually does work?
there are 3-4 main types of active ingredient
Over-the-counter
Claratyne (Loratadine)
Allerdyne (Loratadine)
Lorano (Loratadine)
Xyzal (Levocetirizine)
Zyrtec (Cetirizine)
Zodac (Cetirizine)
Zilarex (Cetirizine)
ZepAllergy (Cetirizine)
Cetrelief (Cetirizine)
Alzene (Cetirizine)
Telfast (Fexofenadine)
Fexal (Fexofenadine)
Allerfexo (Fexofenadine)
Aerius (Desloratadine)eliminate the choices of actives because it is pretty much the same thing
have you used any of the nasal sprays as they are more effective than tablets for congestion

ooops should read do not like the Telfast green, ones, sorry the hayfever is getting me down today.. sniff sneeze sniff :-)
You still need to tell people what you want! There's about 15 different types per the list above…
I used to get hayfeaver and blocked/runny nose from allergies a lot. Maybe once a month!
Nasonex (prescription only) if I can feel an infection coming on
Codral day and night (original), be sure to get the pseudoephedrine one, the rest are useless. I use this if I get a runny nose
saline wash for blocked/congested. Its basically salt and baking soda. I just started using sinu rinse and first blocked nose worked a treat! Really weird at first, but I found it easier to just use it while having a shower.
I have the exact same problems as dad, and between us we have probably tried everything. There was a nasal spray that did everything, but is no longer sold in Australia.
the pseudoephedrine ones is where it is at
the substitute stuff - Phenylephrine just doesnt have the kick
thanks saw some cheaper products on Ebay, wonder if anyone has tried them, they are from Thailand are they as good? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cetirizine-Hydrochloride-Allergy-rel… that is one link there are others http://www.ebay.com/itm/CETIRIZINE-HCL-10-MG-BY-PIP-NASO-GEN…
I don't think I would be game enough to try them unless a specialist recommended them and there were no locally available options.
I buy Amcals own brand of loratadine way cheaper than Claratyne also sinus wash is great when it gets real bad.
I buy them in the US at Walmart/Target etc by the hundreds and they are very very cheap, if you know anyone going - ask for Loratadine.
Biovea has some very inexpensive antihistamines, eg a year's supply of loratidine for under $30: http://www.biovea.com/au/mobile/productinfo.aspx?PID=1981&NA…
If you search the site I think they have others too.
Get the generic stuff, I once bought something from Amcal, it does the trick and probably faster reacting than Claratyne but it also knocks me out for the next couple of days.
I'm not sure if I understand your question- are you asking where to get Telfast 180mg (the green ones) or are you saying they don't work?
For me, I personally buy them from Chemist warehouse in the 70 pack. From memory it's about $32-$35 (i.e. 50c a tablet) but can't remember for sure. Other place to go is Priceline.

EDIT: My memory is right, it was $32 previously when on special… I've also found their website prices don't always equal what is in store > https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/68242
