fwiw Some claim these Swedish ciders are 'fake' and just alcoholic lolly waters

    http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/food/rekorderlig-and-koppar…

    • Still, it tastes ok for alcoholic lolly water at this price!

yep.. Rekorderlig and Kopparberg both low alcohol content. They taste like cordial, certainly doesn't taste like they use real fruit. baffles me why people go crazy over them and they are not worth the price. Seen them for $8+ in bars. at $2 a bottle I am only just tempted to get some.

Rekorderlig Winter cider is freaking delicious. I find it too sweet to drink on a regular basis (or all night for that matter), but it's a lovely balanced sweetness, IMO. I find all other Rekordelig and Kopparbergs to be sickeningly sweet and artificial-fruit tasting. bleh

Oh wait. Rekordelig's passionfruit is also nice… just like Passiona lol.

I view these flavoured ciders as being the Cruisers and Breezers that men can drink without being ridiculed for drinking girly drinks. They're sweet, fruity, lollywater drinks masked in more masculine bottles. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they had in mind when marketing this stuff. I was quite surprised that men really enjoyed these ciders when they started taking off - I'm a girl and can't stand most of them for being so sweet. I'll stick to mah beers thnx.

      • 4.5% is low?

        • I'm not as familiar with the Kopparberg range, but most Rekorderlig varieties are actually 4%, which is definitely on the low side, especially considering their every day price.

    • fwiw Some claim these Swedish ciders are 'fake' and just alcoholic lolly waters

It's not a claim that's hard to back up though… I got given a bottle of imported Rekorderlig last weekend, and it actually listed the ingredients - first 2, carbonated water and apple and/or pear wine. Not a hint of cider in sight!

  • Coming up as $70.99 a case at my nearest store in NSW.

  • It doesn't seem nearly as worth it for $40, but the regular price is around $70…

Looks like some of this may be old stock, the box I bought had a Best Before date of March 31, 2014 (made in October 2012).

  • Cheers for this deal, although as bruiser said just be aware of the best before dates. I managed to get one with a best before date of 28 April 2014 but most were March 2014.

Which Dan Murphy's was this at?
      Interesting!

  • $45 for carton of 24 at winemarket.com.au! - it does not mention what the best before date is though

    • Sorry - just noticed it is lime / elderflower flavour only - might put a few people off!
