It's $9 for those who wants to know
Sorry about that … Updated
Are they still slow as hell? Anyway, $9 for 16G isn't bad if no speed requirement, on car audio for example.
Also interested in speed if anyone has one?
Pretty slow if you ask me, considering USB3.0 is the new benchmark. I've got a couple of these and they're only "good" for small files or as mily said, car audio etc.
I'm still living in the dark ages of USB 2.0, was wondering if it would max it out or not. Purchased a 32gb drive once and it was slow as all hell.
I have 2 x 4GB versions of these and yes, they are excruciatingly slooooow. I used mine for work files <4GB each but upgraded to a fast (overkill) 16GB USB3 because I don't have enough patience for these. Maybe the 16's are faster than the 4's, but my very first yumcha no-name 1GB USB from 10 years ago performs faster.
Others have said they employ unreliable (cheap) memory that can and will fail over time. I can't say mine have suffered any of those problems. And mine have been through the wash several times over the years also :)
The only good thing about these is their size, goes on the keyring nicely. Just don't be in a hurry when using them.
No, it doesn't go well with keyring, the plastic breaks and all my flash drives with plastic holes broke away with my key ring.
I've got one of these with music in my car, I wouldn't use it for anything else because loading more than a couple of hundred MB at a time takes too long. They are very very slow.
Interesting. They had the 8GB for $5 a month back.
Thanks … that's what I needed … cheapish 16GB sticks with a brand name … :-) Speed is not relevant in my case.
Got one in HN Fortitude Valley QLD. a lots of remaining. USB2.0 for sure.
Just in case Big W is more handy for some people here, they have a Lexar Twist Turn 16GB USB on sale also for $9

Assume these are old USB2 drives. As its not mentioned on the web site.
Don't worry about that. They wouldn't go any faster if they were USB 3.0… the chips inside them are as slow as a wet week.
Got one last week from the local Post Office for $9.99 (ouch!). Not the fastest but cheap.
Writing speed: 5.67 MByte/s

OW has a couple of Sandisk Cruzers and some Imation drives (5yr warranty) for $10 - in store only. Was looking yesterday.
Thanks OP
Went to Martin Place but they said didn't have any. Online said Martin Pl did have some, so I did click and collect. I went to collect today, and it was a Cruzer Force. :)
its only a bargain if there is a price????!!!
