Has tuna ever been this cheap? $0.74 per can is ridiculous. Time to fill the pantry.
John West Tuna 4x 95g $2.99 at Coles ($0.74 each!) Starts 12/03

Refund time.
Petrol and time involved in saving that 9c per can seems steep. Unless u bought enough cans to give urself mercury poisoning.
I guess you walk pass a Woolworths store once a year? What makes you think Aaroninau or I need to spend extra petrol and time to visit a Woolworths store?
@ Aaroninau
I stocked up to get my purchases bumped, so i could qualify for the EDR $30 woolies gift card offer…
Currently 12 for $10 at Woolworths and you can choose single cans in different flavours.
Correct, and that works out at $0.83 per can https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/135684
Damn, I just bought that Woollies 12 for $10 deal last week.
But will it blend?
Have you seen the stuff inside the tin, looks like it already has been blended
Never bothered to chck but can someone who has knows, confirm the tuna content for these and Sirena.
My mates says there's a big difference, and I do notice a difference, but not as much as he makes it out to be.
just compare protein content per serve
I prefer line caught tuna.
For the discerning buyer and those who care about the future of Tuna you may like to try the line-caught Safcol. At 5 for $5 who needs the net?
Shame the supermarkets place it on the top shelf with minimal advertisement. The best spots are all own brand or John West.
Here's the rankings by Greenpeace:

Probably the worst brand of tuna that you can buy! Try Safcol or Sirena. They actually taste better.
I agree John West is the worst, I prefer Woolies Select brand.
Safcol FTW !
Nah. Coles brand tastes much worse than John West. I haven't tried Safcol for ages (must try it again sometime). The actual tuna in Sirena is very good, but I don't like their flavours as much as JW, and it's very chunky, which makes it less convenient for sandwiches and rolls (unless you mash it up first, it tends to roll off the bread when you dig it out of the can).
By that logic, salami must be an absolute nightmare for you!
I don't eat salami, so your logic is non-existent.
Well I guess my draw at work will store a few more cans….these are more sustainable than Sirena…and I really don't notice a substantial difference in tuna content (I stick to the Olive Oil ones) either. I will try to hunt down those Safcol ones though.
Thanx TA :-)
for anyone who has an Aldi nearby this is their everyday price.
Are they 74c each and any good?
Got some
flavours I saw were
Lemon and cracked pepper
Chilli
saltwater
olive oil
Damn, shouldn't have stacked that many from Woolie!
