I saw these in another coles, may have been Clayton and they did have the sale but were sold out. Wish I could remember the exact coles but ah well. At least we know it's at other coles as well.
edit: Just went to clayton, there are lots at the coles furthest away from centre road, towards the train station. The one next to centre road is sold out.

Saw it at Coles Noble Park yesterday and they had stock of the 50c 4-colour pen, as well as packs of 3 black Bic Clic pens for $1 (down from $2.40); Bic Atlantic pack of 4 black pens at $2.50 (down from $5.80); and Faber Castell Grip Dot pencils at $2.50 (down from 3.99).
the kids love these….. I think I prefer writing with crayons
