TV shows are finally available in the Australian Google Play Store, and Google is giving away the below pilot episodes to celebrate:

This is great news for people such as myself, who use Telstra credit to purchase content from Google Play.

Does it say anywhere the specifications for each file?
"HD". These are streamed, not really downloaded.
Haven't tried the TV shows.. yet.. but if it's like the movies, you can pin it to the device and it will make a local copy.
16:9, low-res and lots of compression artifacts.
The first two at least are great shows. But I'd expect better picture quality if I were paying.
Community "was" a great show.
And is again. Just pretend gas leak year never happened ;)
Breaking Bad and Community are fantastic
As is Justified. Those three are amongst the greatest TV series of the past decade.

I bought the first season of Justified on Bluray as a blind buy. After just a few episodes, I went out and bought the next 2 seasons and watched season 4 (ill)egally as it had just finished airing in the States. I am now watching each episode of season 5 as it comes out in the States.
This is how good the show is.

Can anybody actually get these to work?
Streaming tells me the rental license has expired.
Pinning for download gives me "Couldn't fetch license (error 0).
And guys like this wonder WHY some of us are big bad pirates. DRM that doesn't work drives me batshit!
It's also limited to 480p on non-android devices. ;)
Do these Google Play downloads get saved to internal or external storage? Do you get a choice? 1.8GB should make for good quality but I have no internal space.
I thought Justified was barely worth watching up until the 3rd season.
Breaking bad is one of the best TV series of all time, without a doubt. A must watch.
I think the pilot is enough to get you hooked, too. Good luck in not buying the complete series! Haha.
