  • i think the transformer t100 might be better value?

    • Yes but its not as cheap.

Find me a T100 for $388 and I'll be on that like JV to a bad deal!

You can't really compare a computer/netbook 10" screen with a 14/14.5/15.4" screens as they would serve

different purposes generally. Yes, technically they are both computers running full windows 8/8.1 and both do

have keyboards with touchpads, the t100 is a lot more portable with much longer battery stamina, up to double

the performance and has touchscreen. Having said that, the Asus F452EA-VX021H Notebook would be much

easier and efficient to get work done on with far superior keyboard, touchpad and 45% +- extra

screen real estate. Add to that the much larger HHD , extra usb port, full size hdmi, and it also has the 2

second instant on wake from sleep, with about 8 to 10 days of battery stand by. We are looking at a very

different computer. Yes, they do cross over with function and features, but most people would pick one

over the other based on needs, well, logical people mainly would. Don't forget that this is also $50 to

$120 cheaper, but that is a whole other matter. Enjoy either unit as they are both good at what their

designed to do for the price. By the way, I have had 7 various Asus Laptops and tablets, and I

personally think that they make innovative and good value for money products. My two cents worth.

  • OP you might like to change your description to "Windows8 ready."

    • What do you mean? (I copied what they wrote in the catalogue)

      • From the page to which you have linked:

        " Windows 8 Ready

Experience the flexibility and freedom that only Windows 8 can offer you. Windows 8 lets you get the most out of your compatible devices ……"

So not installed, you need to buy it separately. Going rate for a new license (ie not an upgrade) seems to be around $125.

    • Not sure what you are trying to say,as it looks like this computer is running Windows 8 currently.
