Anaconda are advertising a CFX65 at $1299 with lots of free accessories, ie cover, mini fridge, stand, 2 chairs, stubby cooler, cap, wiring kit, wind up torch. Some of the freebies are actually useful. What's not shown in the catalog is that on top of this, at Bayswater at least, you also get a box of tuppaware style containers and you can also get the CFX65DZ for the same price.

I left it in the boot running for 4 hours and it did not flatten the car battery.
Did it keep the food cold though ???
It kept all the drinks and meat cold..
Was surprised it did not flatten the car battery. They say power wise they are so economical and they are right..You seem very focused on your battery not going flat after 4 hours as being a sign of super high efficiency.
What temperature was the food and drinks after those 4 hours?
What was the temperature that day and was the vehicle parked in shade?
What capacity battery do you have in your vehicle? They draw about 5A on 12V, when running at full power. So worst case would be a 20Ah depletion of your car battery over that 4 hours. That's more than enough to deplete a standard car starting battery into irreparable damage territory. Its not something you want to be doing often.
spending $1,299 on a fridge, i think you can spend a coupla hundred on a deep cycle battery and/or a dual battery kit on your fourby
For any bogans wondering. No you cannot buy one of these as a replacement for an actual fridge. It's meant for camping.
Im using one as a second freezer at home. It is a primus 40l comprsser that was on clearance from anaconda for $200. That's a $1000 camping fridge. It has a 3 year warranty so screw it.
I was only using it while I waited for a suitable second freezer to show up on eBay, but I've been looking for 6 months now. The primus is still going strong. -22 deg even during super hot days this summer where the room its in was over 40°. It uses about 60W when running. I think it uses a chineese copy of the danfoss compressor in a waeco.
We also have an older model waeco that we use for camping BTW. I don't have a mullet or ugg boots though, maybe I should get some?
The mullet is the look. That new scientist that showed up on The Walking Dead has one for example. Lol
people spend $1,299 to replace a household fridge that is $799 (for example)
even bogans can do simple math
Yeh but the 500km of electric lead and the extra fuel needed when you go camping with your household fridge balances the ledger somewhat.
yes. very good one. i bought one of this 3-4 years ago. and it works great! bit expensive…. i bought my one just under $900 :)
Amazing quality these are. I bought model below during that 25% off sale they had in January..
I left it in the boot running for 4 hours and it did not flatten the car battery.. So impressed…
